My character Kaithan is attempting to author a comprehensive guide to basic herbalism and herb lore. (Feel free to have a look at the work in progress here and offer comment via PM if you like, I'd really appreciate it.) I'm looking for any "official" lore, or even any non-canonical individual lore that the Amia community has concocted over the years regarding anything herbalism-related (for example, I've worked into the book Malandria's habit of munching hallowseeds as an antacid, thanks Amarice! ) Sources I've already explored include this page, the in-game descriptions of various herbs, and for those herbs with RL equivalents, wikipedia (for example, chinchona bark and greenbrier). Does anyone have any other sources I might have a look at, or quirks of their own they think are awesome? Thanks in advance for any help!

Got pointed to the Herbology page on the player wiki, which isn't exactly comprehensive or current. But, I appreciate the pointer, regardless.
If anyone else has any tidbits they'd like to contribute, I'd love the help!

I saw the FR wiki stuff, but the problem there is that none of those herbs actually exist IC on Amia. I'm not sure whether that means that those herbs simply don't exist in our local version of the FR, or if they do exist but not in the regions of Amia and the other locales defined by the server, or if they exist on the isle of Amia but just aren't used for herbalism, or, or, or, blah blah blah. So, I'm sticking with the plants that characters can actually mechanically obtain and put to use in game. Most of which seems to have been just invented out of thin air by Disco, or whoever made up that piece of the job system. I appreciate your effort in looking that stuff up, though. Usually canonical is better, but alas, not in this case.

Well yeah, they were just made up for the most part. What you could do, maybe, is see if there are any close matches in canon material and what we have, and merge the two. Maybe it's another name for the same plant?

Hm... that is a fine thought, my nemesis. I salute it accordingly.

I actually had a small collection of Amia plants with descriptions and such on the Oakmist Vale forum. I think I have it on my PC somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. It might very well be information you've already gathered though.

I have the stuff Mala uses for her herbology classes in regards of Amian plants. If you want it. It partially contains the things Gunz mentioned, aswell.

Sure, I'd love to have a look at it. And, thanks for checking, Gunz.
