I remember seeing one topic talking about the years a long time ago but can't find it now. What year is it on Amia and how quickly do these years pass?

It's 1382 DR. Time is 1:1 when it comes to the actual server date or DM plots - unless speed-of-plot dictates otherwise (and it often does). The default is this, and the year never changes until the RL year changes.

Is there any chance we could get the quest journal entries to match this in order to prevent confusion?

I thought it was 1383 DR.
