Do True Names exist in our setting ?

I know the HoU included the Knower of Names, I read the FR wikia entrywhich describes the use of True Names over various DnD editions.

What about Amia ?
thanks

True names and Truenaming do exist on Amia. There have been Amian truenamers in the past and it was one of the few things to explicitly require a request because it's so lore heavy. Usually people went with Bard or Wizard as the base class, IIRC.

If you want to read more about how Truename magic works or the classes that use it, Tome of Magic has a whole chapter dedicated to it and can be found online. The little FR wiki blurb there doesn't really do it justice.
