La ShoshainLa Shoshain is a fey holiday, and basically the only one all fey, no matter which side, celebrate. It is a day to honor the sacrifices made in the past of both sides and the lives that were lost due to the constant struggle of both light and dark, as well as to honor the endless cycle they all belong to.

It is a day of peace and neutrality where fey are not allowed to use their fey powers, to feed/prey on humans in any manner or sense, or commit acts against other fey court, not even (or especially not) by proxy. Violences against the rules end in severe punishment. The fey in question is handed to the opposite court for this, to punish the offender to their own bidding. The courts can be quite creative there, though a popular punishment is for the fey in question to become "the stag" of the next Wild Hunt and imprisonment until this day has come.

It is also the only day fey of both sides actually gather together and celebrate together.

Some consider it a very spiritual day, while others simply take it as an excuse to drink, eat and "intermingle".

La Shoshain happens twice a year, at each day after the solstices, the powerhight of each court. Traditionally, the summer court hosts a big feast the day after the summer solstice and the winter court the day after the winter solstice. The first day the power will slowly start to shift towards the other court again.

The Summer SolsticeThe height of power of the Seelie Cout. Traditionally sacred and celebrated by all of the Court of Dreams.

The Winter SolsticeThe height of power of the Unseelie Cout. Traditionally sacred and celebrated by all of the Nighmare Court.

The Spring EquinoxA sacred day to all seelie fey. The day where the active reign of the winter court (unseelie) shifts to the summer court (seelie).

The Autumn EquinoxA sacred day to all unseelie fey. The day where the active reign of the summer court (seelie) shifts to the winter court (unseelie).

The Hunters MoonTypically the Full Moon of the tenth month every year, the Hunter's moon is the night when the Wild Hunt is led by the Erlking. Those poor souls who accidentally cross path with the wild hunt and are not actively hunted (the prey of the hunt), are offered the option to join the hunt or be hunted down.
