Vampires of Amia

Contract agreement of how Vampires shall be handled within the Amia PW world setting:

Vampires of Amia shall be fully subjected to the effects of the Sun. Raining or highly cloudy environments during the day will only allow a means to escape during daylight hours. The Vampire PC shall not use Cloudy or Rainy Weather as an excuse to RP, PvM, or PvP in Daylight Hours. The only acceptable RP in such a case would be that of leaving the area or finding shelter from the pending light.

Vampires of Amia will not be killed by garlic, but still shall be repelled and or annoyed by it. It will not be a quirk that is ignored.

Vampires of Amia will be held to the requirements of gaining permission to enter owned structures.

Vampires of Amia will be held to actively avoiding Holy symbols, Temples, and Grounds. Hallowed sites do not kill or prevent undead from entering, only being created there, the Undead is not at ease on these ground, which should result in the loss of saves, this however is not able to be represented on Amia at this time, we ask those grounds are simply avoided.

Vampires of Amia will follow the text found in Libris Mortis, Pages 20 and 21 detailing Wooden Stake use. Vampires will be dead upon staking, and will return to life upon its removal or after 72 hours.

Libris Mortis, Wooden Stakes PG 20,21Wooden Stakes: Only vampires and vampire spawn are vulnerable to staking. Driving a wooden stake through a vampire’s heart instantly slays the monster. However, those looking to exploit a vampire’s vulnerability would do well to remember that staking a vampire is only half the task, and if the body is not dealt with, the vampire could return to shadow their steps at a later date. A staked vampire will quickly return to life if the stake is removed before the body has been destroyed properly (such as by removing the creature’s head and filling its mouth with holy wafers). If a vampire is staked, but the body is left to rot away on its own, the danger remains. Eventually, a lone stake might be all that remains visible, driven into the earth, the dust of the slain vampire long since blown away. However, if the stake is removed, that dust reconstitutes, and the vampire returns to animation within 72 hours

Staking shall require a job system item of wood type to be crafted and left on the staked Vampire to count as a staking. This may inspire Vampire Hunters to make use of the Job System and craft various stakes to be sold or used.

Vampires of Amia shall only begin as Vampire Spawn, bound by a NPC Master Vampire. The Vampire PC can not slay their own Master. The Spawn feels an unexplained affection and bond to their Master and can not physically cause them their death. Upon the Masters death, the Spawn may finally enter the ranks of actual Vampirism, gaining power each year they are alive. Years shall be determined by Amia's Calendar.

Vampires of Amia can not physically cross running water that is deep enough for them to be fully submerged in, in a prone or laying down profile. This covers nearly all water on Amia unless a DM rules it is shallow enough for sake of plot or event. Vampires can cross bodies of water via ships only with a coffin. Bridges may be crossed under the impression that the Vampire in very uncomfortable with doing so as a single slip, trip, or fall shall mean their death.

Vampires of Amia that make use of a Clone Spell to attempt to secure life, shall be returned as a living version of themselves. Clone requires the living flesh of the individual, meaning the clone body shall be a living one, not a Vampire.

Vampires of Amia may potentially be True Resurrected, but they will not return as Vampires, only as their originally living selves.

Vampires of Amia may not be brought back to life via the Create Greater Undead Spell. Despite the NWN spell being able to create a Vampire. It also creates a Lich among other things that will not be acceptable as mean to make PCs out of.

Vampires of Amia will not be given Immunity to Sneak Attacks or Critical Hits

Vampires of Amia can be eligible to Request and Purchase a Wolf Shape, Rat Shape, Bat Shape, and Mist Shape.

Vampires of Amia are not required to daily feed, but the RP is highly appreciated.

Vampires of Amia may not turn other PCs into Vampire Spawn

Vampires of Amia do not cast shadow, or reflection, but their gear/clothing can for sake of WYSIWYG and making more sense with established Shadow Lore

Vampires of Amia may not use Shadow Shield to walk in the daylight

Vampire of Amia may use Shadow Evade to escape daylight.

Vampires of Amia will treat 1800-0600 as Night time for avoiding Light damage.

0600 will not be auto death, but the PC shall be required to leave as soon as possible, time is allowed for typing, etc. due to having no way to view minutes. There will be no excuse for them being out until 0700.

Vampires of Amia while visiting Tarkuul, are allowed to be outside within the Sunlight while on the Island. Tarkuul will not automatically dominate or control the sentient Undead PCs

If approved to go through, Vampires of Amia will be mechanically forced to be effected by vs Undead spells, such a Smites, Sun Burst, Searing Light, Undeath to Death, Undeaths Eternal Foe, Turn Undead, Heal/Mass Heal, Lay on Hands, etc. While gaining the ability to be healed by Harms, and immunity to various death magics such as Pale Master touch attacks, Finger of death, Wail of the Banshee. They still shall be effected by Mindspells.

PVP Notes and Death

PvM Deaths I would like to rule as being a required Respawn. You must respawn and such will be treated as the Vampire turning to mist and returning to their Coffin to be rebuilt inside it. This can be treated as auto done since our monsters will not go and fulfill the proper killing of the Vampire. It takes 8-12 Hours depending on injuries for a Vampire to regenerate in their coffins, such will require the PC to not play in that time. Which would mostly be a full reset.

PvP Deaths I would like to require Arena PVP mode on at all times for the Vampire and whoever is involved in PVP with them. This will be due to the ability to self raise after death. In which the Vampire will turn to mist and attempt to leave the scene if the opposing PVPer did not have stakes or did not stake them in time after death.

If the PC does escape, they shall be required to regenerate as stated by PvM.
If the PC is staked, the Staking rules of Libris Mortis will come into play, if the stake is removed the Vampire can regenerate on the spot in 72 Hours unless proper precautions are taken, or the correct means to slay them are taken.

If Arena PVP mode is not agreed to, the Vampire PC shall be forced to take a flee from scene. No PVP shall take place.

If the Vampire slays people in PVP, they may not be turned into Vampires.
They may be enthralled for up to 24 hours, same as prisoners. Or for as long as the enthralled PC agrees to. Which may be vastly longer.
