Pure cleric, focus on melee.... which of these 3 feats would you choose:

Maximize spell
Blind fight
Improved critical in chosen weapon

If it helps, it's a DEX based cleric, so they can't maximize dexterity anyway, max spells would be mostly for STR and CON.

Thanks!

Correction! I can choose two of the three!

I sort of consider all three of those mandatory.

Imp crit is the least important, but what is your build like where you can't squeeze it in?

Ehh, it's an older character that I really never went anywhere with.

He's level 14 now, pure cleric. I wanted to use the shortsword so had to take martial as a feat

So... pre epic feats:

Taken so far...
Weapon Finesse
Expertise
Extend Spell
Martial
Weapon focus shortsword

That leaves 2 more pre epic.

Final build will be 26 cleric, 3 rogue, 1 ranger.

Why take martial when you're taking Ranger later?

Might be better off dropping Ranger for four fighter. Get more feats and epic weapon spec.

If you do that, you either have <24 caster levels or... no uncanny dodge, which I find I need for some reason on dexers.

And... in order to take weapon focus in shortsword, you need martial feat, so.... can't take that early and take ranger later, unless I misunderstand you.

Since you're taking three rogue levels, you should grab rogue at level 1 for the skill point boost and you would have access to shortswords, not needing to ditch a vital feat. Martial focus begone.

Hope that fixes it.

Personally I couldn't live with it when there is a solution, but it's your call of course. :)

While you don't need to pick rogue at level 1, you could get deleveled to before martial weapon prof feat (amia player tools > characters, to see when you grabbed it in case you don't remember) and snatch a rogue level (unless you picked it at level 1, then you need to make a new character or ask for a rebuild).

-IF- you grabbed the feats in the same order you mention below...

"Taken so far...
Weapon Finesse
Expertise
Extend Spell
Martial
Weapon focus shortsword"

...you'd just have to drop to level 8 (1 xp from 9) and grab rogue at 9 for weapon focus: shortsword.
