Hey there, as I finished my exams I'm ready for another project! I was reading a bit and (just now) noticed that the BG summons got reworked! So I think that will be my new aim ! As I've posted before I have -CERO- idea in how to build, the only thing I'd like is that the build have enough BG lvls to use the epic fiendish servant! EDIT: i think i'd like to try the NE summon! So not.being lawfull allows bard on the build, right? Any suggestions and ideas are welcomed Once again thanks fellow amians!

Well, if you want the epic summon, you'll need at least 16 BG levels and I generally would not encourage a bard build with less then 20 bard levels. The classic strength variant is 12 fighter, 16 Blackguard, 2 rogue, for a dex one I'd go with 13 Rogue/16 Blackguard/1 Ranger (Epic Dodge). I've got detailed builds for either.

ed bg is a sick build by the way. but defiantly get a level-by-level build, it is easy to mess up.

Personally, my favorite BG builds are some of the more exotic ones. First, there's the 6/15/9 Bard/RDD/BG build. It's admittedly more defined by it's dragon disciple than it's BG, and doesn't bother with the summons. You do however, get a high AC, strong saves, oodles of damage, and a DC 45 devcrit. I also like the Bard/PM/BG build. It's got two variations, either go 4/10/16 (Full BG stuff!) or 5/12/13. The former gets the full suite of BG abilities, including the new summon. The latter gets more AC and can get a full tumble AC without sacrificing a third attack, also you can boost your CON more since you won't need WIS. Both are crit immune and get a really nice AC. Let me know if you'd like me to hash out the details of either build mentioned above! As an aside, I find STR devcrit builds synnergize best with blackguard. The -2 saves aura gives them an effective +2 DC on their devcrits, which is really nice.

Yup, I do. Human Pre-epic: 4/6/10 Bard/PM/BG Epic: 5/12/13 Bard/PM/BG 18/8/14/10/8/14 (All stat points into STR) Pre-epic(8): Power Attack, Cleave, Blind Fight, Knockdown, Great Cleave, Weapon Focus, IMPR Crit, Divine Shield Epic(4+1BG): G-Str 1, OV Crit, DV Crit, EWF, Epic Prowess I mostly skipped the BG extra features from WIS and the summon and went the tough tanking route. DC 41 Devcrit, crit immunity, and high AC from boneskin (You get +8 with 12 PM) and divine shield mean you're incredibly sturdy, and can trade hits with most enemies until you connect with a devcrit. (You can hit a 67 AC without any +5 gear) Once you connect your devcrit you hit them with your sneak attacks too. I went with a 14 CON to give you some more HP as well. AB isn't great due to only having a 16 pre-epic BAB, but it's good enough to manage and you can boost it with your 1/day divine favor.

Mhmm I'll try the one Kobra said...but also I'd like one to have the 16 BG lvls as to have the summons thingy Is anyone with a step by step build? I'd like to try them both in a module first, before deciding which suits me better! Btw thanks for all your help, amians!

16 BG? Can be done. Do note here you'll need to make a choice between a fourth attack or 3 AC from tumble. I'd take the 4th attack though. Human Pre-epic: 4/6/10 Bard/PM/BG Epic: 4/10/16 Bard/PM/BG 17/9/10/10/14/14 (All stat points into STR) Pre-epic(8): Power Attack, Cleave, Blind Fight, Knockdown, Great Cleave, Weapon Focus, IMPR Crit, Divine Shield Epic(4+2BG): G-Str 1-2, OV Crit, DV Crit, EWF, Epic BG Fiend You could dump WIS and get yourself some more CON, but with 16 BG you might as well get the BG buffs. You'll be critical immune with an epic Fiend and have better AC than most tanks. The other build gets 5 more AC and 1 more AB, I hope if you go this route that the extra BG goodies are worth it. You could if you want to go 18 STR and drop DEX and CON by 1 and 2, allowing you to take armor skin or epic prowess, but 8 CON on a tank hurts.
