use magic device question... I have ignored this until recently and only started putting points in it .My character is a 19th LVL rogue and I am going pure rogue up to LVL 30 ... I plan on using scrolls haste etc and wondered how the skill really works. I have 10 points in this skill now and a +1 cha bonus ... so thinking endgame (lvl 30) how many skill points should I pile into it ? How many points would I need to use a haste scroll? |

Scrolls are pretty low in terms of ranks needed, you have enough already. You need higher ranks really only to use restricted items. You need something like 30 ranks to use ~99% of the equippable items in the module. There are only a small% of items where you need >20 Modified Ranks to equip them. |

14 with a +1 from cha is about what you need for scrolls and wands. anything over that is essentially set for spell slot items and only useable by class. |
