I am not so sure a spell focus would be viable for him. think I'll probably take Conjuration.

Illusion is extremely good on Amia, imo. Both versatile AND powerful.

I'm having very hard time picking a spell focus for Eddie myself, but Illusion is definately in top trio.

Illusion is okay but doesn't super measure up because lack of great CC and metamagic for shadow conjuration. It ssuprt fun for the new buffs to effects and durations though. Evocation is the only honestly other good focus because it has CCs that can hit pretty good DCs like great thunder clap and some pretty solid damage buffs with focus feats. The rest are kinda whatever. If you know what tools you have you honestly don't need foci. I have transmutation and necromancy and I mostly only use fear from necromancy for the CC and debuff and wail as a noon check so I can teach people how to gear fort. The more fun one was flesh to stone before the nerf because I would just emote drawing on my victim.

Spell foci are just garnished if you're good at wizarding tbh. Flavor I use for rp mostly, but some of them are pretty okay. Just don't specialize. Losing spell schools isn't good and I can do mastery in a school without it.

Also grease is hilarious. Spam it enough and you'll see dex builds getting mad and logging out. No matter what your dc.

But illusion and evocation are definitely the most fun ones.

The flesh to stone nerf was sad. I had a pure sorcerer who is illusion/trans...he was fun

Flesh to stone was amazing for trolling. The start debuff doesn't even do anything since no one has fort low enough to fail without 1 fishing. I would teach people to gear fort by taking them into the arena and petrifying them, then walking up and being like

*honk honk*
