Hey!
So, I'm currently planning a new (friendly, nonviolent) character and I want him to have a reason to come to Amia. That's where you come in!
You two met, before you came to Amia. You left for your new life in Amia, and now somebody is worried about you. You've abandoned your friends or your family. Or your letters got lost or, more likely, you never sent letters ... Now my really nice character follows you to find out what happened to you. Or whatever! Maybe you told him that Amia is the place to go and now he wants to go there, too. We just need to establish some common history and a cause.
Here's how I would see this go: You give me a description of what you were like before you came to Amia: Appearance, some habits and tastes, a (fake?) name. Now I come and start looking for you. You don't need to be famous on Amia or anything, but it would be nice if someone could be found that has met you and remembers you.
Eventually, they might meet. (He'll be easy to recognize, though he might not recognize you.) Nothing will be the same after having lived on Amia, so this can go into any directions. Maybe it's just a "Hi, what are you doing here?", maybe it's a reason to be upset or maybe they become best buddies. I don't know, we'll see.
What's in for you? You'll be the good kind of wanted! Someone cares about your backstory that you never got to explore!
What's in for me? I have a reason to come Amia, a reason to go places, a reason to talk to people. And I have ties to someone at least, even someone that knows a bit of my backstory, too.
Speaking of backstory: I do have some ideas for his backstory, but I want to make this work, so we can change a lot around.
"The Weasel" is a likeable and clever young man. He's called like that because he weasels out of fights. (One warning: He won't be your "hunting buddy", given his pacifist tendencies, and his likely very slow levelling ...) A bit of a dreamer, too. He isn't of high status, not a street kid either, but a bit of a thief in his youth. He would likely have other low-class friends or neighbors.
He's half Calimshite, half Theryian. His life could have already taken him all along the Sword Coast. I want to start out with him being most familiar with Calimshan culture. (Think high-culture Arabs plus a strong social hierarchy and lots of downlooking on other folks ...) Because the Calamshite attitude doesn't really fit him, he'll very likely come after his mother (the Theryian part) after some time.
So ... let me know, if you're interested! Reply here or by PM.
Regards Ts
