This is a nice day for backups and such nonsense. Expect some downtime in a while. Maybe a reset will help with the lagginess mentioned above, but generally that seems to be caused by some bugs in the NWN part of the server... In other words: I wash my hands in virgin's blood or whatever it was that Pilatus used. Shalom!

God-tier lag on Amia A, at the moment. It's taken 10 minutes to move from one end of the Nomad, to the nearest exit. Other people are having the same issues.

Isn't there a huge event going on A with most of the server involved?
That might be the issue.

Server crashed a few mins ago, forums with it. Now literally everything is broken. Tokens on the journal entry reports, can't enter the mirror, chat doesn't work. Need a rest or something.

Everything just crashed hard. A and B down. Forums were down, then started giving Internal Server 500 errors.

Not sure where to really post this, but I thought I'd toss up a small note relating to crashes. I notice they happen very frequently when there are a large number of people in one spot with buffs. However, the buffs themselves cause lag due to them being visible. By disabling the VFX of most buffs, the lag and crashing could likely be reduced by a large amount. Just a thought.  _________________

Buff VFX create client-side lag depending on your machine, video card, etc. but doesn't create server lag, is my understanding. However, the more critters (PCs included) in one area, the more things the server has to calculate in that area.

A just died. Last record is 49 online, 1 DM. The badger did it.
However it rebooted right away. Maybe the badger did it again.
