Post subject:  Having trouble with the custom heads!
I downloaded the full 5.0 head pack and put it in my overrides folder, but for some reason I cannot see any of the heads in character creation. I found a post dating back about 3 years ago where someone said you can't see the heads in character creation, but my friend told me he was able to see them just fine in character creation, and I recall this being the case for me in the past as well.

The files are exactly where they're supposed to be, but I'm still stuck with default heads. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

EDIT: All the male heads appear to show up (for humans at least). I haven't tried other races, but at least for the female human, I cannot see any additional heads.

You wont be able to see all the heads in character creation, sadly. It's a weird NwN thing. You can browse through all the heads here, however.

Nope. Heads don't cost a thing. Some heads do need a valid reason for being used though, but that's it.

So is there a mechanic in game I can use to switch my head to these new ones, then? Or is the only way to ask a DM? I hate to bother them with something so small.

You have to inquire to a DM. It's no issue! I bother them all the time to call them names. Especially Nick, Tormak, DireCorbie or Rigela.

Bumping this for a hot second, I'm in the same boat. I'm a returning player, and it used to be possible to see all (or at least most) of the heads in character creation (probably when there weren't quite so many).

The problem I'm having now, though, is not only are there barely a handful of heads available for selection in character creation, I still have heads not showing IG in spite of having all files necessary. Is this an issue that anyone else is having? Or is it possibly a driver issue? I did see something about nVidia working some hinky magic on NWN, but I can't imagine it hindering being able to see what my files should technically let me see.

Hey there, I would triple check that you downloaded the most recent heads files and put them in your override folders.

From the welcome room, there is room that you can go in and change your heads.

mmkay, so I'm running into the same problem:

I've got the full head pack downloaded, went to the image changer and I'm still getting headless folks IG. Does this happen for anyone else, or could it just be on my end?

Make sure you don't have any other hak packs (ie. other server stuff) that might conflict with Amia's!

Are you extracting the loose head files directly into the override file, or just moving the zipped/folder in? (e.g. should be override/loose head files instead of override/heads file)

Nah, I've only got Amia haks, outside of the vanilla haks from base game modules (kingmaker, etc)

Yeah, I dumped all the loose files into the override file after extracting them, so I'm not sure why nwn is having a hissy fit. Why can't it just cooperate like a nice game??

Hmm, not sure.... could start over, uninstall, reinstall, and put all the right files back in place.

Ah, bummer. Well, I appreciate y'all taking the time to assist! I'll try that and see how it goes.
