So just decided to play NWN Amia again after a couple year hiatus due to health issues. I am experiencing lag but it does not seem like its on my end. I have made sure all my files are up to date, I adjusted my file because i am on a i7, I have all the head/hands etc haks.

I have read a ton of posts on the site looking for issues others are experiencing that could be similar to mine.

So to give more clarification here is what occurs. I am middle battle and all of sudden nothing happens, anywhere from 10 secs to a minute later it resumes and I am either dead or they are dead.

Or I am travelling and the blue boxes on the ground for transitioning areas is not there. I will walk over and try to find it because sometimes they arent very big. Instead, I keep moving around and all of a sudden I am in the new area.

This computer is way way way more computer then this game needs. I have the game set to run as administrator and also comptiable to windows xp (service pack 3).

So what am I missing?

The lag spikes are very recent issue, and these things usually clear themselves up eventually.

Sounds like lag to me. Although, for your first point:

Does your NWN completely freeze, or do the animations just stop?

Server has been hanging every once and a while the past twenty four hours. It's super duper likely that's what it is.

Area transitions are sent from the sever too, so if it isn't sending packets you just arnt going to see them.

So far though it's just been lag. No restarts or crashes.
