How to use the Bugs sub-forumBefore posting about any bug you have found please look through the current posts to make sure you are not making a duplicate post. The development team needs to look through these and determine which are legitimate bugs needing to be fixed, which are one time bugs, which are not bugs but might be design flaws that need to be looked at as general improvements to the system, and which are just not bugs at all and have legitimate explanations which will be given in the thread. Duplicating reports of bugs will use up developer time which is far to scarce and valuable already.

Repeat offences of this can lead to warnings and forum bans.

If your topic is not already posted then please make a bug report so that we can address the issue, but be prepared to give us certain information so that we can fix this as efficiently as possible.

  • Topic title – please use a brief but descriptive name for the title so others know what the bug being reported is about.
  • Message – We will need a detailed explanation of what the bug you are reporting is, which module it occurred on, and what area it was in. If you have screen shots of the bug please post them here too.

If your topic is already posted please feel free to read through it and if you have any additional information then please feel free to add a post. Please do not post if you do not have any additional information to add to the topic. Posting “Yeah, that happened to me too,” or anything similar does not constitute additional information.

Repeated offences of this can lead to warnings and forum bans.

Please remember that the development team is made up of volunteers who do this because they like toolset work, are proficient at it, and want to be helpful. Negativity and impatience with the development team makes the work become a hassle and undesirable which means that these bugs will take longer to fix. So please be patient with us, and share your milk and cookies with us when you can.

Thank you,

The Development Team.

Just to be sure that we are not miss understood about warnings and forum bans concerning the bugs sub-forum, these will not be handed out willy-nilly for simple mistakes. The possibility of a warning and ban was mentioned so that anyone who might become and extreme abuser of this forum understands that we do reserve the right to first warn and then ban people from using this forum for becoming an interference in getting the work done efficiently.
