Okay, been here a long time and never had this happen, yet people are saying it's normal.

I am trying to alter an Arcane Defiance Cloth, that I altered just a week ago.

It's saying there's a crafting DC of 79. It's also saying 60k gold to alter the appearance.

This cannot be normal, since there is no way I would put on all my armor crafting gear to do this in the past. And even then... DC 79?

Can someone please look into it?

It's normal.

It is not being changed so that skills have some value.

Never have I seen this before. I would have always failed.

On the other hand, I have always seen these rolls when I craft. I can't remember a time when I didn't know about it being there. I mean, it's still possible that it's not firing off every time for some weird reason. I think we should have people try to keep an eye out and see if they don't see the DC and gold cost in the combat log during crafting. And if that happens, send up a screenshot so we can track down if there's a problem.

Aside from robes and colors. Crafting those are free.

So you’re saying the dc counts? I had no gold and it wouldn’t let me craft an epic item. All other items were free and I couldn’t have possibly pased the dc’s

Yeah, if you pass the DC, you don't have to pay the gold. And it just takes the gold if you fail it otherwise. Most people have a ton of money and don't miss it when it happens, since it only takes the gold once on failure. Once you either make the check or pay the gold, it doesn't do it again even if you switch parts. Provided you don't leave the crafting dialogue and come back to it.
