I'm well aware that the toolset lets you add weight reduction to items like armor, but I'm curious if it's possible to increase the weight of items, and I mean by a rather substantial amount, eg. 1500%, or perhaps a solid value like 700lb?

Yes, but only in the toolset, and to a limited amount.

Limited amount per-property.

You can add the property multiple times, which has made me giggle with delight importing items that would heavily encumber a Dev-Critter.

This is good to know.

I was thinking some time back about an item that would have a weight penalty as a DC item. Like a hammer that could OOC only be wielded by a PC of a certain strength and to represent that would add an amount of weight to it, to represent an enormous and bulky head.
