Ah, the ol' days. I wasn't here at the very beginning, but I remember perhaps the 'second generation'. Torin and Chia and (I think) Alanna used to sit outside the north gates of Cordor - Chia often in dragon form. The (rather boring) Sunite garden. The interior of Gabilgathol's. The Winya baths. Thayvian items. The black dye plant and - as a result - too many people with solid black armour/clothing. Practicing acrobatic jumping off the roof of Haur's forge across from the temple. Soliciting in front of it. The drug dealer in Cordor. Getting assassinated in Cordor South. The alleged affair between Haulfest and the nurse - I believe he moved from Cordor to Kohl because of it (or that's how I saw it, at least). Lumorier and the nasty drow in the caves there. The dragons and their scales - I think each of the red, green, white and blue dragons dropped one. People dragging controlled monsters back from hunts and letting them loose in Cordor square. Dragon-shifted characters fighting each other through Cordor. Bone dragons in Cordor (I think that was either Roslefusio or one of the other first generation PCs).
Good times, good times.

People used to exist. These days I feel like leveling a character means I simply increase the diameter available to my character(s) to run laps around the island in search of signs of life.
I guess I'm just doing it wrong.
PS - I miss watching ranger/sd/etc. people 1v<insert number>ing others in Cordor. That and (I forgot his name regrettably) the half-drow barbarian rolling strength rolls with the stock NWN rages to the point that he was allowed to lift up a dead dragon shifter and throw the body outside of the city.

I ate a few hellballs in my time. Cordor was a very different place back then.
Let me tell you, if someone under 4 feet tall is throwing around Hellballs, never ever ask them to stop, no matter how many they've thrown at you already.
Llewellyn, Roslefusio (or however it's spelled, come on), Bustier d'Attentourt and his magic chest, Irae, Earylduil, the Shadowflames... It's all coming back to me now.

I remember when I first started playing and Cordor was lit up like a Winter Solstice tree with all the toons buffed to the max. You entered through the Waukeen Temple and there was NEVER anything good to buy there. So you go out into the square and see tons of people standing there shooting the breeze.
But the one name that I liked the most that stood out.......Prugdish Troll...........or something very close to it. Does anyone remember if he was an actual troll?
I think I walked up to him just once to ask him some kind of silly question and he just shoooed me away..............I was shaking in my first tier boots.
Oh, and the Black Caravan. I was always last in line and when I finally got to see them I had no idea of what they had and the good stuff was already gone. Then seeing posted threats of millions of gold in tribute if you said something bad about them and going to the EO temple to find it GONE. Blown to bits. I was like.............What the *&@#$!
They weren't the first Good Ole Days, but they were my first ones..............*smile*

I threw the first punch unaware a Cordor Guard PC was nearby, who caught half of the story. I was promptly jailed.

Nostalgia may be overrated, but I'm enjoying it.
Getting a Thayvian Razor just to get a perfectly clean, smooth shave on my legs. Finding a pink/green ioun stone in my sock, given to me by a ghost in the duchal palace. Hoar whispering in my ear and enticing me to visit the poetic justice of irony upon a PC guard. Giving Jiharu a good romp off-camera. Getting thrown in jail by a dumpy dwarf and refusing to speak until I talked with an attorney.

Back in the day when you would find items in events that you could keep and were not just OOC for boosting monsters stats.
Yes kids DMs would make neat items for people to find in events, I still have my wolf leg Yoss.

We had a little reunion tonight, that was nice.
I just remembered my favorite part of the past that never came back sadly, the Amian PC Dolls.
They were like beanie babies for Amian characters. And you could collect and trade them.
I had a Yurioji and -two- Willows.

Not that he advertises this , mind. Grymia. You need to make like six seasons of dolls with limited circulation. fifteen dolls a season, seasons lasting bi-annually. Make it so!

THERE WERE DOLLS?!
I remember getting a ratskin pelt from a DM once. Most, treasured, item, ever.
Well, aside from the cookies I've managed to procure of DMs now and then. It's funny seeing the sorts of enchantments/curses they occasionally put on them.

Or spending 4 IRL days in a drow cell, just RPing with the walls and occasional visitor. That was the stuff. Tower of Mystra, lovely place. I also remember the event when it was destroyed. I love it when a rogue asks mages to "back her up", then they throw 4 Hellballs at you when they see the first enemy... attacking you in melee.
