I wanted to say thanks to the Team, for the changes made. Everything looks great, and makes RP so much easier, when we can see the effects of what happens in-game.

Now you've experienced a microcosm of the frustration I feel every time someone tromps through the water with out the slightest bit of RP!

But yeah, I meant to remove those but the plot moved sooner than I thought it would.

Let me know in a PM if anything seems overlooked with the NPC chats. I tried to have their dialogue reference as many places and events as I could but things may have been overlooked.

Post subject:  Re: Designer/Developer Praise Thread

You fixed them? Well, you or whoever did it: kudos! I'm much liking the changes. The brief buggy period where they repeated the same line to each other was irksome. And the time before that, when the replies were essentially random - that was amusing and I hope it's not gone entirely, as the same dialogue repeated in succession, no matter how accurate, is less amusing than the greater number of permutations afforded by the random response. That said, I still much prefer the more detailed and... well, sensical random dialogue that comes up now.

Author:  Yossarin [ Wed, Sep 24 2014, 4:08 AM ]
Post subject:  Re: Designer/Developer Praise Thread

Well, it won't be random like it was before, because that creates some really weird stuff, as we all witnessed. But my plan is that although the response to each call will be the same on each instance, those instances are now easier to edit and update so that they can be cycled and kept fresh every 6 months or so. By creating a lot of reference threads in the designer forum it should now be easier to do so. Just make a few edits to the script, upload and update and voila, they can talk about the new Curl Up & Dye Salon that opened in the Dale or about the meteorite that crashed into Kohlingen and unleashed millions of flaming tribbles into the Holy City.

You guys who were responsible for the new quest chain, whoever you may be, major props. I spend a lot of time playing solo and this was my first attempt to level from 1 again in a long time. The fluid nature of the quest chain is so helpful and I really wish it had been around when I found the server in the first place and ran around dying to monsters far beyond my level because I didn't know where to go.

Stupid Kohlingen Mage still doesn't hand out his friendship bracelets though.

Credit for that mostly goes to Pony and Polris. Pony did a good bulk of the work himself, and Polris did a lot of custom PLCs and reskins as well.

I just realized the Views of Elsewhen helm consumes 5 charges per use (Find Trap), yet holds 26 charges when it drops.
26 - (5*5) = 1, and after five uses, the items does not disappear.
Awesome idea ! :D

Author:  Yossarin [ Sun, Mar 29 2015, 3:36 AM ]
Post subject:  Re: Designer/Developer Praise Thread

That was Glim's ingenuity. When I designed the items I had no idea they would disappear when all the charges were used up, not unlike an item in PnP. When we found out that was happening, Glim suggested we just +1 the number of charges to prevent it and never have an item that is 1 charge per use.

Also, a big thanks to Pony/Gabe, who spent a ton of time finishing up work he had started despite having already decided to move onto other things when he could have left us high and dry with all that work uncompleted.

To whomever made the House Le'Quella area in Winya Ravana. I will start, first of all, with strong - I hate you -. Secondly, that area is simply stunning and why I hate you is that seeing the place and potential within made me regret killing Las'Claianna. I was absolutely never going to come back, but my mistake was going there and seeing that area. The area with its RP possibilities, if Las was alive, are immense. I hope the character alive make good use of it!
