What are the most sought after Gems from the Job System? And what can they be used for Rp wise? I heard a while back a certain Gem Mages can use to trap souls or raise dead ect...

Whatever someone making an rp item needs, I doubt our player base justifies a statement like "most sought after". As for usage, they are sometimes used for as a material component for certain PnP spells such as true resurrection etc., however they still require the ability to cast the respective spell, by themselves they don't do much usually.

Diamonds as they are the only thing I've ever seen anyone told or been told specifically to go get.

However gems of various colors are useful. Dealing with a red dragon? Bring a shitload of rubies. Etc.

Diamonds usually, as they are required for True Resurrections.

Other than that, as prefered by each character.

Having a character obsessed over a item to collect is fun, and gives some extra insight in your character.

I got a character collecting "full montys", and one collecting green light gems. but i remember other characters collecting certain gems, or odd things.

And yes diamonds, a true gift for those departed.. who you want back, not drewling, or bones showing

Diamonds (moreso Diamond Dust) does tend to be a reagent my character insists on seeing acquired for the creation of high nd magical items..)

But, that said, other gems do have magical significance so depending on the situation other gems could be relevant.
