Since the current changes, I think we need a more specific thread where new players (I seen a few!) and old (like me) Who is a bit lost in the whole lvling ordeal to get new ideas where to get those first lvls from the courier misisons and possibly sewers.
1: What can I do instead of the courier missions?
1:1 Where is this?
2: Where to hunt instead of sewers
2:1 Where is this?
Something along those lines, make it more out and about so someone browsing the forums can see it. Beside that any ideas are welcomed. I hope this is not seen as me interfering into something but I think it be nice to see and get a hang on things in this phasing time as we head to EE with a lot of changes.

While I agree for the most part... I just made a new character and not having the courier quest did not ruin my life. Wee bit harder to get started but not a big deal really.

It is mostly to guide people not as know how or new to the server. The courier quest was a perfect "get to know" Cordor and get some free stuff. Just like the rope, where to even get it, if not from the questline? When so many dungeons and areas almost has a essential need for the rope. Such stuff to help newcomers. Is it very IC? No, but it is about helping and keeping players. Making them feel warm and cozy around the fire as they arrive on Amia in the literal sense, as players.

Sure, I can see that. RE: rope.... I have used it maybe 10 times in 8 years on Amia... just sayin'. It's hardly "necessary", more of a "nice to have".

It is a necessary item if you want to get the perfect mythal and you cannot fly or shadow jump. Also helps out a lot when doing the cultists and such places. There is a lot of tricks and quest areas it will help out in a lot!

Dug has only done one quest, and that was by accident, when he saw someone else get gold for giving over the head. Most of the Courier Quest was for stuff in Cordor anyway, so all but maybe two places are moot now, they don't exist.
Several merchants sell the rope, it's rather easy to find, even dumbass Dug bought rope!

There will be a new starter quest, but it's not there yet. It will be once it's appropriate IC.
And yes, many merchants sell the rope.

Its a good question and a good initiative! The good thing that came is an answer from the oficial team starting that something will be implemented soon enough!
