Adventurers passing through or dwelling in this town would note that this day, many dwarves lay slain, and much of their defensive structures lie in ruin. Survivors who apparently barricaded themselves inside their dwellings report that the city was attacked by a huge creature, More monstrous than a dragon, with impossibly thick hide that regrew in a manner of seconds if even dented or pierced. They note that the creature then left without any notice or apparent reason, proceeding northward.

During the chaos, several items were reported stolen from homes of note, including many dwarven family heirlooms, and Antiques.

A bounty of a large ammount of the port's treasury not reserved for the reconstruction, some hundred thousand coin; was placed for whoever slays the creature and brings back proof of its death.

*Hunie took the boat to Brog on his way to the mountain hunting grounds. As he reached the Port and saw the destruction he couldn't do anything else for the next few minutes except stare with widened eyes. Then he snapped out of it and cursed loudly in dwarven.*

"*[Dwarvish cursing...]* Bloody hell! How in the blast did this happen?! Who?!*[More dwarven cursing]*"

*He kicked the ground a few times and finally sighed and went closer to examine the destruction and to see if something was to be done.*

*News of the destruction soon reaches the ear of Greta Solveig and she instantly cancels her current squire teaching schedule and books passage on the next boat to Brog to help investigate the horrific events on her favourite bretheren dwarves*

"I can't help but wonder. They say it was a dragon.. Or not any normal dragon that did this. I can only hope it might be what we've been searching for the last 14 years.." says Gertrude, her trusty sentient bastard sword.
"I doubt that Gerty. I don't see any other sentient objects around.. no dwarfs turned into crystals.. It doesn't fit our culprits style."
"This sounds very much like the work of the Tarrasque to me!" the sword appears to shiver. "Well. What ya gonna do?"
"I'm gonna do what I do best. Investigate." She heads off into the Wilderness to look for clues.

High Defender Aurora hears of this in his travels and prepares to take a trip to Brogestein. 'This sounds dangerous, I care little for the gold, but we must help the Dwarves. I wonder if M'lord Marinsbane will help the Dwarves out like he has done before' With that thought he makes his way to the keep and a hopefully an Audience with the Justicar.
