// The vision described below is seen by only those who access the temple of Lolth, in true faith to Lolth. Please don't metagame.

Yng'rael Baenre slipped into the temple quietly, and walked through the long corridors, leaving some fresh meat to the corner for the temple spiders to feast on. She entered the dressing room, kicked off her shoes and removed her regular robes, to change into her ritual ones.

Tiptoeing into the chapel barefooted, she kneeled at the door once, before proceeding to the altar. Her surprised gasp echoed around the chapel room, as she stepped closer to inspect the curious sight laid before her eyes.

Her eyes followed the dark red flood covering the floor, up to the black marble altar and the red fountain erupting like a volcano from the center of it.

"Dark Mother, blood it is you wish, blood it is you get."

// This is a prelude to things that will be happening in the coming weeks.

Edit: The vision is, of course, the fountain of blood, not Yng'rael's visit to the temple... a devote lolthite drow entering the chapel would see what Yng'rael saw.

”Yous be givin’ us shiny metal and we leaves yous alone”

The guttural language of goblins echoed through the cavernous corridor, increasing with intensity before fading away leaving behind only silence. The lack of sounds was exactly what Briz’ryna preferred when traveling the Underdark. Much has been occupying the priestess’ mind lately, the very reason she agreed to supervise an expedition to Menzoberranzan. All she needed was time to sort her thoughts, to find the answers to the questions which kept gnawing the inside of her skull. In her long time as priestess of the Temple in Ultrinnan has she never taken a step away from the path of The Dark Queen, remained loyal and devoted, that was her call, but why was so many of her prayers left unanswered?

“Shiny metal now or we kill black lady”

The request brought Briz’ryna back from her contemplating state and she looked at the already doomed goblin incredulously. Such filthy creatures, Iblith, where these goblin so corrupted by stupidity, that their lust for gold has driven them down to the domain of the drows? She shook her head slightly, deemed the goblin unworthy an answer to its blunt request. Long time has passed since she last enjoyed the rouse of battle, and she was already aching to allow her animated viper whip to feast on unworthy flesh again. Her eyes pulsate with a dark red inner glow as she scrutinized the surroundings, deciphering the amount of goblins by their body heat. She had to concentrate hard in not to mock their futile attempt to blend in the surroundings. Despite their effort to use the stalagmites as cover, they have underestimated the keen dark vision the drow posses and the difference in the heat pattern gave away their position.

The goblin clearly misinterpreted Briz’ryna’s lack of response as a sign of fear and confidently took a step forward, snarling and waving its spear around, to emphasize its threat. Confidence and bravery always follows those who’re ignorant to the threat which they oppose.

“Be prepared”, Briz’ryna signaled to her guards through the complex hand patterns of the secret code, who where already in position, hiding in the shadows preparing their crossbows with poison coated bolts. Gingerly she moved her hand down her robe, curling her slender fingers around the hilt of her enchanted mace; soon the unknowing goblins will come to recognize the superiority of The Dark Queen’s children, for she was a priestess one who possess power beyond so many. Trained in the ways of Llolth and in warfare as well she retrieved her mace and offered the goblin nothing but a menacing smile which promised nothing but death.
The goblin tightened its grip around the spear and with a high pinched battle cry it launched towards the priestess, aiming the spear tip directly at her heart.

Briz’ryna was no novice in battle and mastered her weapon with grace and fury experienced only by her fallen enemies. With a speed far beyond the goblins senses she drove her mace to the right, deflecting the threatening spear and forcing the goblins arms out wide. She followed the momentum of her swing and twirled around gracefully, taking advantage of the goblin’s defenseless position, and managed a deadly stroke in its chest.
The goblin fell to its knees looking up at Briz’ryna doubtfully as it stupidly poked a finger into the small gap in its chest, trying to prevent the blood from flowing, completely unaware that its attacker was far from finished and the hissing sounds of the animated viper whip caused the goblin to tremble in fear.

The remaining goblins hooted and ran all about, bumping into, and falling over each other. Some thought to attack and prevail where there dying comrade had failed, but quickly changed their mind as several clicking sounds filled the area.

Briz’ryna cackled, knowing very well that no goblin where able to resist the potent poisoned bolts of the skilled marksmen. She drove her arm back, holding the whip high as she glanced at the dying goblin with uttermost disgust. How she enjoyed this particular scenario, where her victims finally understood the potential of her abilities. She grinned and launched the hungry vipers towards the exposed skin of the gobbling, but stopped halfway through, as a sudden clicking sound caught her attention.
The goblin closed its eyes as the poison from a penetrated bolt began to mix with its lifeblood, perhaps it was best to have remained in the forest after all.

A crouching male approached Briz’ryna, uttering several excuses for having deprived her the joy of ending the goblin. How pathetic he appeared, pleading for forgiveness, and how defenseless he must have felt himself as Briz’ryna’s ears where not accepting any apology. She was determined to kill, and since the insolent male had deprived her of the goblin, he had to take its place. With renewed anger she hurled the whip towards the groveling male laughing with glee as the spiders bit and tore away flesh with every successful hit.

Suddenly the sound of cracking whips came to a halt and the nearby males glanced towards Briz’ryna curiously, as she uttered a few words.
“Back to Ultrinnan, and make it fast”
Something had changed, she felt it clearly. A bobbling sensation within herself urged her to return to the temple, could it be her prayers had finally brought fruit?

Sharing no interest in the commoners and nobles in the plaza she hurried towards the Temple, rushing into the chapel and fell to her knees as she experienced the fountain. It has happened, a sign….
“Llolth Tlu Malla”

As May'Vrae entered the chapel to do her daily devotions, she stopped dead in her tracks at the sight. Red-violet eyes widened in awe, and a cold shiver ran through her bones as she could feel the immense dark presence all around this room. Slowly she approached the altar, careful not to touch any of the sacred blood that formed around it, and fell to her knees in prayer.
I shall hasten my offerings to you, my Queen. Your will be done!

mayae walked into the temple to do her daily prayers, after passing by some younger priestess and other yath'tallars, she was at the chapel room. Her crimson eyes opened up as wide as possible when she saw the room, cold shivers ran down mayae's spine. Mayae slowly walked towards the altar and fell to her knees praying to Lolth as she did everyday.
I shall delver to you my great queen, the offerings that you desire and more. the altar shall run red with blood in your name.

As Kaisis saw the fountain of blood, she paused, watching in silence with a cold gaze as a few moments passed. She strode closer then and knelt in the blood that covered the floor, bowing her head down so that her forehead nearly touched the floor. Then she rose quietly and walked out.

Valsera strode through the temple, passing by others of the yath, bowing respectfuly to those of higher rank. As she entered the chapel her eyes grew wide and the spider pendant around her neck bgan to glow a dark crimson. She waded through the blood, twirling around the room stopping in front of the altar. She dips into a low bow with a grin on her face. Your bidding shall be done my Dark Queen.

For those who ever saw the vision... it is gone. Taunting laughter echoes through the chamber at times.
