A strange shadow held sway over Cordor this morning. Witnesses reported to the local papers that it appeared as if it were a night sky, for the majority of a day. The strange phenomenon left the city in a curious state.
Observers from other cities confirmed that the event was localized roughly within the few miles around the city of Cordor.
Astrologers local to the city have claimed that it is a natural phenomenon that occurs when one of a number of heavenly bodies called the "Tears of Selune" move in such a way that a shadow is cast precisely over an area. Such is an extremely rare phenomena.
As well, the Astrologers claim that if you were born in the month of "Eleasias", that you'll have a steamy romance this Feast of the Moon Festival!
Statisticians report that the local crime rate rose briefly during the eclipse, and predict that nine months after this day, the birth rate will clime. Hill's Bookstore reports that several low-value wall decorations were stolen from their store during the eclipse.

In the early mornings after the eclipse, a certain red-headed Cordorian Guard may be seen making more frequent patrols around the city, most likely as a measure to prevent further crime, and locate criminals from the temporary crime spike.
