Large and neatly penned notices are put up around Underport. One could also notice a few well trained and leashed hell hounds on the services of the city guard, patrolling the city. Each transport of goods arriving in the city is, among other things, scanned with their keen sense of smell.

Quote:
In order to protect the well-being of our business, and citizens from the affliction that is supposedly spreading within the walls of Ultrinnan. The following safety precautions will be employed within Underport:

1. All drow hailing from Ultrinnan are hereby barred from Underport. We will not risk the disease spreading within our population, among our livestock, and our slaves.

2. Current citizens of Underport are strongly discouraged from venturing into close proximity of Ultrinnan. The citizenship of any individual found bearing the disease will be suspended, and they shall likewise be barred from Underport. Until they can prove beyond any doubt, that their flesh has been purged of the illness.

3. Hell hounds have been put at the disposal of the city guard. They have been trained to detect the fungal scent that is commonly attributed to infected units.

4. Import of -all- trade goods and slaves from Ultrinnan is hereby temporarily suspended.

5. Export to Ultrinnan will be continued, albeit heavily limited, due to the vast safety measures required to ensure that our caravan drivers, and guards are not infected in the process of delivery.

6. Underport trade representatives already within Ultrinnan are hereby asked to remain within it's walls. Due to the possible risk of spreading the disease their right to enter Underport has been suspended, until further notice.

Rizzen sees the notices. Whenever asked, he will show his papers of citizenship at Underport.

I wonder if Ryl'vyl is fine...

Were the thoughts of the Dusk Lord as he walked to one of the merchants.

There begins to be some small ripped papers scattered about Underport that any could pick up, blowing in the wind..

Let the weak die. If you wish to contact one who is truly powerful, leave a message for me, Raele, in the Elysium.

Ibseth arriving not from ultrinnan as most drow would, but by way of the abandoned home in the ruins, sees on these notices and chuckles. "As if their precious trade will be hampered, hardly anyone comes to this wretched place to begin with. So arrogant they are in thinking this way." As he is walking, he sees one of the notes from the female "Raele". Pocketing it, he moves along further into the caves and caverns.

An elven figure wrapped in shadow walks up and copies the original poster to the best of his abilities, while he stands in the closest shadow for cover. Then leaves trough a portal, doing two mid way stops before finally going to his real destination.

A drow steps off a boat. Although he is masked, his dress makes no effort to conceal his dark skin or white hair. He stops at the sight of the notice, then turns on his heels with a hiss of impotent rage.

Sinder is seen being very interested in the events of Underport, having been a long-time resident of the city for several years. She is seen making deliveries to the local authorities, and requesting an audience with a ranking member of the local guard.

Edonil, making her way down the tunnels from the Tempus Temple to Underdark, remembering the way from being with her Mother. Out of safety she wears the colors of her Father Taminus along with a red scarf over her face. Many thinking she is a Saladran, letting her pass without a miss. She asks around about the rumor of a disease and was directed to the poster.
She runs her fingers gently over it, feeling the heavy prints able to read it. She frowns behind the scarf, she asks the closest guard or merchant for a copy of the notice for a fee. They were most happy for the 500 gold fee she offered for a heavy written word for word copy.
From there she asks for what the signs of the disease in knowning if someone contracted it or not.

//In hopes, that can use the Ultrinnan posts of the outbreak on symtoms. I wont tell its approved by DM//

The Quarantine in Underport continues apace. Lords of War Sellswords, backed up by Underport Guards and with the help of Umber Hulks and fungal sniffing Hell Hounds, patrol the streets and piers, actively questioning and searching at checkpoints and key locations. No adventurer, nor heavy garbed or armoured individual goes unchecked, and occasionally, people are forced out of Underport, under threat of violence, or leave of their own free will, refusing to be questioned or searched.

Disruptions are inevitable in Underport, as the guards are exquisitely diligent in ensuring that no hint of the plague gets in, something common when one is being watched by mind-reading, brain-eating masters. The common citizen however, remains largely unaffected, though the adventuring population and all travellers are checked with increasing regularity.

Those that resist being checked by the Hell Hounds, a painless inspection that takes mere heartbeats, are driven from Underport, and not allowed to conduct their business. Physical violence is often met with physical violence, and occasionally, people are handed over to the Illithids to be "reeducated"

A letter is sent to one of the guards via a long chain of separate couriers, asking simply if the ban on Ultrinnan drow is still in effect. It is signed 'Yavin'.
Within it are instructions on how to return the letter, as well as a few gold to compensate the guard for his time.

When a reply eventually find its way back it would seem the restraints have been somehow loosened yet still formally in place.

Ilivarra is quick to point out to the Illithid a Drow jaluk from Ultrinnan who appears to be breaking the ban (Iltlh'ryn).

A note is tacked up several of the patrols roaming Underport and they likewise ensure none are damanged in the proces.

    Wanted!

For damaging property and decreasing the value of Underport trade products!

For the former gnome merchant known as Berson, a reward of 200.000 gold coins is offered!

Likewise a reward will be offered to the one who can capture or kill whoever aided the gnome in escaping from the Underdark.

So is the will of Underport.
