Smoke rises above the location of the mercenary encampment in the Quagmires, issuing forth from the entrance of the Temple to Tempus. Gigantic slashes and cuts mar the ground, though from what might not be immediately apparent. However, as far as the Temple itself is concerned, several things are readily apparent: most flammable objects and substances in the temple have been set alight... it's library ruined and the Idol of the Red Knight turned black with soot. The barracks are a total loss: the bunks little more than charred, burned lumps of carbonized wood. But the greatest damage is to the entry of the temple itself: something very large and strong clearly forced it's way recently through a gap far too small to accomodate it's body.

What might have caused this? Anyone listening to the words of the Red Tribe lizardmen or the gypsys inhabiting the camp would hear a similar tale: many warriors and mages in black and green, heavily enchanted, were seen to rush the camp in a flurry of violence. They cut down any defenders, but as the did so, the land shook mightily, and a gigantic, shadow-covered beast tore itself free from the earth. It seemed to attack anything standing.. the mercenaries, their Tempuran allies, the lizardmen, and esepcially the warriors in black and green. It's unknown what drew the monster, but it seemed to have no allies amongst any group present. It chased the remaining invaders out of the camp eventually, but not before they'd grabbed several bodies.

*The battle was fierce. Calin had little warning, and fewer allies to defend the temple. He was well aware that the attack would be overwealming, though what he was planning on was Kohlingen hearing the strike and coming to aid. God knows why the goodly city did not hear or see the ruckus going on the mercenary encampment given the proxmity of it to Kohlingen, but for some reason such aid never came. Nor did the promised aid from other allies that where to be watching the Temple at all times. They would suffer the consquences of their actions in others forms, losing what was promised to them. The battle did come, and Calin had managed to bring allies. He was ever suspicious of spy's, and wisely sought to keep others out till he had proof of their alligence. In doing so, he may have prevented death coming from another angle. Not that it mattered. Even with the new allies the attack was simply to fast and to numerous for him to effectively defend against. Calin knew this, and was not concerned. What he did not predict however, was the coming of a large black beast. Dead at the time, he had no way to know his temple, and the entire area was shattered by its coming. How could anyone expect such a beast to arrive?

The body of Calin Katar, along with several war knights and allies of the War Knights, were taken to the Banite Temple to be "sacrafice". Several days after the his head may have been displayed in the usual place such things are displayed. (Banites can explain that). What became of the head perhaps is for someone else to tell.

The body of Calin however was tossed over the walls of the Banite keep. It landed into the ocean with a pop as it broke the surface, falling deep down due to his armor. However, Calin being the sort to plan for such an occurance, recently packed his armor with floatable material, instead of padding. The body instead floats to the surface, now supported by this material. The ever crafty Red Knight warrior always ready even in death for any circumstance. Carried by the currents of the ocean, the body is drifted back in shore to the nearby beach that olds the entrance to the underdark.

There it now lies.*

The heads, posted outside Bendir Dale are removed. A woman, a small human or half-elf, removes them to one of her Bags of Holding. Summoning a shadow being, she glances around, toneless voice directing.
"Remove the Banite propaganda. Destroy it. Burn it, if you can."
She respectfully removes the tattered War Knight banner, tucking it with the heads while her ally acts.
The heads are delivered by Katsumi and her husband to the Salandrans. While there, Katsumi advises....
"I have gold necessary to raise the Knights, as needed."
With that, the monks take their leave, to return the sullied banner to the War Knight temple.

//if gold is needed, grab me on any char and I'll bring Kats on.

*A battered Calin Katar returns to the site of the battle. He enters the debris of the temple of Tempus, followed by the guard that has arrived from the mainland to replace their lost breatherns. Whatever went on inside the Temple, Calin emerged several hours later. He hung the banner of the Order of the Flaming Blade above the shattered entrance of the Temple. A sign now rests in front of the temple, and says this

"Let none disturb this most holy site of battle, for it is here that great war was waged. Do not shed tears for the lost, do not fear the enemy. For it is here, and in every battle so far waged in this war, that we of the Order of the Flaming Blade have won. For every War and every Battle to take place has only strengthened Tempus against his enemies, it only empowers him. Here, this day, the Banites have revealed true foolishness, for the more they resist, the stronger we become. The more they fight, the more strength Tempus is granted, for here, on this isle of War, Tempus is Lord." - Acting Warlord Calin Katar of the Order of the Flaming Blade.

Back in the temple of Bane, a dragonkin was taking out the headless bodies of many warriors, tossing them into the lake. He felt proud of himself, proud of his family - the Church of course. He was only 19 years old but already ranked member of the Order of the Iron Gauntlet, working tirelessly to spread the word, fear and glory of the Lord of Darkness. The War Knights didn't stand a chance. Not after Lord Bane had spoken Himself in the Temple. He aknowledged his presence to his loyal servants on this island, speaking trough the giant statue. The knights suffered crushing defeat, at their very home, and now, more than ever, it was certain that noone will have success in opposing the deadly grip of the Black Hand.. Later, in the lower quarters of the Temple, the dragonkin was speaking about this victory with his brothers and sisters in faith.

"I don't think that the apperance of the Construct Beast was just a coincidence, if it is controlled by the enemy. The odds are to small.
However, it is interesting that if the Weave Knights knew about the battle, than the Triadic Knights should have known aswell. So much of War Knight's allies.
They would be mad not to break their friendship after this..."
