Over the past tenday, a subtle transformation has been ongoing in the long-abandoned old druid shrine. Those who venture there now and step within the stone circle can immediately sense a change - a calm, peaceful sensation that makes them feel welcome so long as no harm is caused in the immediate area. On rare occasion, there is also a feeling of . . . being watched.

A huge man in the greens of Wiltun can be seen frequently patrolling along the roads between the dockyard all the way to Ceyren's Mill, occasionally sidetracking via the Asylum or patrolling into the Dormenwood. He moves alone and his armor heraldry suggests he isn't one of the Iron Guard, his most distinguishing feature is a horned helmet sculpted to look like the snarling head of an abishai fiend. Anything hostile that gets in his way winds up in peices behind him.

Occasionally, an aged human male with greying hair, adorned in grey armour with the black, white and grey-trimmed tabard of the Eternal Order patrols the area, destroying the undead that rise against him with relative ease. His first trip sees himself running errands around the isle for various individuals, after that he patrols the roads from time to time...

Erelkacha sat quietly at her desk shuffling through documents, information regarding Caraigh, Actand and Lord Everlast. As of late it has been a matter that was wracking her brain and pushing her closer to wits end. Mercifully the most recent information gathered by the Shrine seemed to cause a great deal of the story to unfold. Yet for all this she still stayed up late trying to maul over facts and small details. Eating and rest becoming necessary inconveniences to ending two lingering forces of evil that had dug their claws deep into the world and were inexplicably intertwined.

She leaned back in her chair staring at the stones above, she noted a tiny spiders web in a corner. She would have to put the poor little spider outside before Jud'vardas or another arachnophobia set eyes on it. She slowly rose taking up a cup to capture the harmless little fly eating creature that invoked superstition and terror in more then a few who had escaped Lolths webs. As she snapped up the tiny brown spider she paused to consider the web. A tangled deadly thing but only as good as the strands that anchored it. She reached out and broke an anchor line, part of the web partly collapsed, she broke another and the gossamer trap all but fell apart. "The best way to make a tangled mess come apart is to attack what holds it all together..." she said out loud to herself followed by a belly laugh. She was going to let this little spider out near the rothe where it could catch its share of nice fat flies. It had given her just the ideas she needed and it deserved to eat well.

While the Cultests who had made Caraigah residence home were away in Wiltun one or more figures had appeared on the island near a lonely crystal node and proceeded into the forest. Not to explore, not to hunt but to send a clear message.

Undead were not simply hacked down this group had apparently focused intently on slaying any all of the walking dead using clerical turning reducing them to ash. Others had been clearly beheaded and burned to cinders with oil and alchemists fire. A clear dogmatic practice of certain faiths.

Most telling was in Aigheshed, where the earth had been sprinkled liberally with holy water and burned into the grass in the same oil and alchemist flame was a very clear message.

LEAVE OR THE HIGH HUNT IS CALLED UPON YOU ALL

One may have noticed one of the perpetrators as she finished her work and left. One knowledgeable of Eilistraeen custom could clearly tell what faith the undead destroying vandal or maybe vandels sent this message belonged to. Did this all make a difference to the islands taint? of course not, was it a clear threat that the entire faith of Eilistraee was willing to ignore Wiltuns laws and come down on this cult residing in Aigheshed like tidal wave of blades and fury? More then likely.

Learning of what transpired, one knight's response was simple and whispered to himself over a report.

"I am ever amazed by stupidity."

A young druidess few would recognise makes her way out of the cave. Tilting her head curiously at the paintings on the rock, she chuckles softly and shakes her head.

"Silly people! Excrement fertilises plants, not rocks!" She says with an amused tone.

She shifts into the form of a water elemental, washing each rock down until she later unshifts after each rock is thoroughly cleansed. Stretching tiredly she smiles softly and makes her way around the idols, ensuring each one is also clean and in good condition before moving back into the cave for some well deserved rest!

Having waited in the shadows, another female of Elven build moves in to hopefully salvage some excrement that was washed off by the druid.

Why the hell would someone even think of collecting something so foul?

Swallowing as she braced herself, she places it carefully inside an empty bottle and seals the cork tight, tying it for extra measure. The girl moves back quietly into the woods and forest, slipping the bottle into a lone pocket in her bag.

Earalenia spots the excrements on the stones and shudders. "Maybe the rain will wash it away" she mumbles to herself before continuing on her walk.

Some time after she walks to the spot again, and pours holy water over the now mostly clean rocks because of the druid and Jylan.
"She's not just a brute, seems she's tasteless and immature too. Why couldn't she use blood like a proper villain? it would atleast be more stylefull and professional."

The figure in the skull helm hefts her load and looks upon the diminished pile of bones that made up the idol. "Another couple trips should do." The figure opens a portal and steps into it briefly looking back over her shoulder.

The events in the north had derailed the plans to cleanse the tainted isle and eventual freedom to the ruined lands of Actand and Bastion from their planer taint. Though now a war loomed between two city states and for some this war was an all consuming and thought Earalkacha's eyes turned once more to the operation she and Malandria had planned that would remove a great evil from two islands. Or perhaps it was because of the war the cagey drowess considered this a priority after all the Shrine no doubt was seen as the weakest link in the Treaty and Likely Cordors first Target. If Actand was cleansed what better place for the Shrine to fall back to than the legendary once unassailable fortress city.

Of course the purging of Actand required first the cleansing of Carigah, evidence had shown her as much proof of this.

Tazlin muttered bitterly to himself as he packed his backpack for the trip to Carigah, the investigation was likely going to require mundane research more than magic. Vision and most other magical divination often ended up incomplete or barely understandable. However he was certain that logic, deduction, alchemical analysis and reasoning were ultimately more useful tools. The grove was likly investigating this spirit of Carigah he had been told of, however the real problem and in his mind solution was to undo the rite that Everlast had preformed the same rite that held the body of Jarl Blackmoor untouched by the outside world at the moment of his death. The Open Door Rite, the drow had dubbed it, and he speculated that it had trapped the soul of the Jarl between the prime and the abyss where his soul was destined wedging open a door to the abyss that Everlast drew much of his power and legendary immortality.

He had reasoned this after his intelligence gathering. After all an open door would explain the taint as a constant leak of planer radiation from the door. He also surmised that Blackoor tricked into accepting the rite by Everlast, perhaps thinking it would grant him Immortality, would have given the spell the vast complexity and power. Power akin to a death curse with the complexity of ritual casting as he had said to Toumas not long ago.

Of course as always the Wizard was utterly confident of his theory, and as powerful as the wards surrounding the impaled Jarl were he was also very confident that there was nothing created so perfectly that it could not be destroyed. After all even gods could die.

Tazlin returned from his trip the tainted island brooding and sour in disposition, certainly not uncommon for the wizard in the least. He had with him packs full to the brim with books, notes, tomes, scrolls, manuscripts and anything else that could bare the written word. He waited for yet more things to be delivered by others who had carried what he could not from the Soul Pit where he and the grove had delved into the sickening creation of the Demonolgist called lord Blackmoor.

He paused and wrote an update for the Shrines notice board on his way by then continued onward. As he and Toumas entered Tazlins personal room to begin extensive meticulous study of the books, relics and notes. Searching for ways to undo and unmake the terrible ritual that had occurred under that small town in Carigah were so much evil had spread from. The wizard muttered ruefully as he went over the tomes of vile lore

"One step closer to fulfilling my promise... and one step closer to undoing Everlast."

*Tuomas sat quietly helping Tazlin interpret the data, having been there with him. He sighed as a heavy weight seemed to bear upon him as he helped the male Drow with his work*

After taking a break, Tuomas comes back with some additional notes for Tazlin, adding to him quietly in the research

" Mister Tazlin.. I have notes Malandria had gotten from the prior mission. She asks if you'd be willing to let her and Elana come in to help at some juncture of the process."

Among the books and items Crow delivered to the Shrine of Eilistraee, was a crystal sword.

As the days passed the drow wizard poured over the notes and tomes discovered in the ruins. Aided by Toumas the drow wizard also tested the black skull, sword and tools that been recovered, legend lore, arcane sight and a battery of mundane alchemical tests all under the veil of scrying preventing magic comprised the meat of the research. The wizard's main goal a means to undoing the warding that hedged all forms of contact with the sword/key that was the center point of Everlasts ritual. As always he was obsessive and detail oriented. In part due to the intellectual challenge he had deemed undoing this was and in part due to a promise he had given to a madman to do his part to avenge the Jarls evil and Everlasts wicked deeds.

While it was true Toumas was busy with various tasks and events in his life the drow wizard all but shut himself off from anything except for eating, resting, research and occasionally deeming it necessary for his continued mental health to get fresh air and stretch his legs.
