Rumors float around Cordor East of Hil'rash being quite pleased as of late which can only mean he made a good deal of coin with little effort. He seems to be happy enough to talk about it should anyone care about the source of his glee.

A certain guard Sergeant and a certain bard make plans to question Hil'rash regarding potential criminal activities.

Aiseth sat in one of the towers in Howness facing the golden mask. She had sat for perhaps two hours contemplating most readily, how it would be destroyed. it was placed on the end of a table next to a few other various objects of past and current complications, things that posed some memory of courage: A black card. A witch's stone eye. A half broken sword.

Another curse.
Outside, the guardsmen drank and celebrated Tom's position of Sergeant. The snow was light despite the rumors of moving Aurilites to the north, but the band was growing heavier. She made a scene, but not entirely by choice. Both Rolde and Tom seemed to burn her very eyes for whatever reason upon leaving that crypt, when she returned to Howness from Cordor. The hissings of victories from Vala's voice in her ear caused her to anger and for the first time, hit her familiar. It was as if something inside her aimed to repel the likes of paladins and temptations both, whom sought to near her, or perhaps nearing the mask. It is alive like the rest of the things on this table, she confirmed. The Sending she received from Marcus warned her of the dangers of the mask being that of Nephthys, or one of her mad pharaohs. In which she had decided she needed to take the object as far as Nes'ek, a land she has only heard of but had not visited before. (Save for one time to capture the venom of a snake, but even then it was no introduction to the ways of the Mulhorandi.) Someone in the desert world would know more about the mask and how to destroy it. But who could she bring who she would not inevitably harm? All since having steered so well away from Loviatar, pain dragged underfoot. Even when she defended herself against the Sunmaster, she knew in her heart he did not have to die the way he did. The world would be busy regardless. The world was a chain locked into a passion play slowly running taut among the levers that were quickly draping the boards of one stage or another; Howness needed to be left alone and Cordor (Though that damn merchant weaved this unhappening for lust of gold) did not need to see this terrible mask. Something of so much energy was not meant to be discovered at all. Yet the portal seemed suspicously set below the bricks of Guldorand's cellar (Which she locked away with a disjunction). It was a lie to think that it was by chance such a thing could rest there; the object perhaps, meant to be carried again. It was its will to scribed to such a fate.

The bright gold mask sat there with its deathly face, staring glad, and tucked at the corners of its lips into a smile of contentment, and its eyes were eyes of mirth, and it was frozen that way to haunt all whom had lifted it to their brow and petrify those whom looked upon the face who wore it. There was a great terror in knowing its veneer slept so long on the face of a dead monster, below a stone curtain, with eyes wide open, dreaming of Aiseth.

Following a series of ceremonies inside the temple of the Martyr Saint Elizabeth, a small collection of Knight-Templars and squires gather food rations and equipment. They sharpen their blades, meeting only briefly in the dimly lit gathering halls.

".. Sin has found us, Brothers."

"In this mission, there can be no failure."

Maps are drawn, with a few thin tomes delivered from the Office of Illumination, in regards Portal-craft, and the Mulhorandi deities. Templars recite litanies, and steel their faith for the coming endeavor.

"Salvation lies within the heart of Guldorand, my Templar. You must not let the sin within the Mask reach freedom."

A dejected-looking kobold could be seen wandering outside of Wiltun for a while before disappearing with an invisibility spell.

*Garbled but possibly troubling stories of a huge army of undead bursting from a pyramid, slaughtering anyone living nearby and marching into the desert float in with traders from Mulhorandi.

Not much else is known expcept that nomads tracking the army found the tracks mysteriously vanishing as if the army ceased to excist. There is some speculation as to what really happened and most traders dismiss the rumors as fancyfull tales from a drunk nomad though some vehemently insist reliable witnesses saw the vandalised pyramid and the vultures feeding on slaughtered caravans.*

Victor sends a missive explaining his absence, noting he'll be returning to the Cathedral within the next two to three days to speak with Sister Alicia.

The matter seems to have Cordor officials worried as Hil'rash was invited for questioning and left his shop a while. He returned soon after though muttering about his precious time being wasted.
