Road wardens would spread a story about a patrol of men in spiked armor torturing a woman brutally in Amia forest near the 'Spider valley', leaving her unconcious, bleeding and broken afterwards.
Travellers in Amia forest are advised to be cautious and avoid patrols of men in spikey armor if they don't want to share her fate.

The woman found unconscious in the forest was brought to the Salandran temple. She didn't bring up what happened in the forest, and would be vague in her replies when asked about it, and instead would fuss about being stuck indoors. To the physicians, she was grouchy and unappreciative of their work, even as they went about mending her legs and caring for her concussion. She spent most of the following days asleep in bed, but would awake startled to the slightest noise. Eventually the physicians assured her she was well enough to leave, most likely eager to be rid of the ill-mannered and moody barbarian, but for whatever reason, the woman stubbornly insisted on staying a while longer. She requested parchment, and crudely began drawing winged snakes on paper.

Shen travels that forest often as he always seems to need one more spider silk bag, I't would be cool to walk into an event where something like a crazed man torturing women was really an alchemist studying life for humunculous (think that is how to spell it). But this man is not some man... there is some twist.. and he is simply a humunculous making humuncouli for a society that comes from the plain of the gibbering maw's but this abomination makes that gibbering maw boss looks like childs play... Then to add some meat and taters to the story. - The woman her self could be in on the gig as she is now no longer just a women. and when the time comes she will be forced to do things she does not want to do. For the Alien Alchemist from the plane of the gibbering maws only wants one thing... Souls. - Not sure if that is what you ment by if you want anything done with the plot it is more creative stimulus that I would like to be apart of. I simply want to see some roleplay with some suspense. The need to interact with the environment to use the imagination and not relay on the mechanics of the engine to solve a problem in an event! - Ergo I am ok if the plot is nothing like I suggested, just inspiration for an event to be memorable, remarkable etc. I would do my best to compliment such effort as a player!

A man in a brown hood and cloak can be seen walking through the valley of the arachnid more often. White tabard trimmed with gold, and a average height though face hidden by a yellow or golden mask. He seems content with not taking the cart to Kampo's. Either stopping by the witches hunt for potions or stalking through the forest and valley further north.
He tries to keep an eye out on the road-warden postings, in case any go missing or move from their favored spots.

Crow does some investigating, and goes to the Salandran Temple, asking about the woman brought in from the forest. If no name is given to him, he tries to get a description of the woman, and also any information on the green snake symbol that was reported. Crow leaves his name and Oakmist Vale as place of contact, along with a hefty donation.

The Salandrians wouldn't know anything about the symbol, they'd be hesistant to describe the patient and ask Crow why he wants to know about her.
They would tell him she left the temple and that they don't know where she went.

In a corner of the Shelat vallet a fairly grisly scene would be found with several corpses lying around.
All of them are human males or tieflings and they seem to have been killed with blades and daggers. Their armor and weapons are damaged or missing all together.

*An azure-clad figure familiar to those who go to market in Cordor often can sometimes be seen walking the roads of the Amia wood. He seems to be seeking someone or something, occasionally making small talk with various roadwardens, and spends time patrolling about the well-travelled byways there.*

Once again the peace in Amia forest was shattered as a large group of feral gnomes, bolstered by some savage weres threw themselves in all out attack on the grove. The rangers and animals of the grove rallied quickly though and send a storm of arrows into the horde as wolves counter charged howling. A fierce fight ensued and both sides knew the other side would grant mercy nor respite as their emnity ran too deep. When the dust settled the gnomes were either slain or routed and the grove, while they had suffered some casualties, stood thriumphant.
The local roadwarden, the first victim of the savage attack, is recuperating in the grove for now.

Walking slowly and cautiously, Crow searches for traps or hidden threats, in the abandoned temple under Amia forest, the druids not far behind him. He hears the flapping of wings behind him, followed by a familiar voice. Lord Cory relays a message that Malandria has called us back to Oakmist, immediately.
The small force makes haste, back to the surface, and the forest east, where they find the very gates of Oakmist Vale being attacked, by the remaining force of feral gnomes, along with werecreatures, most likely of the Forest of Despair. The Grove rangers and defenders of nature, held their line, and the gates were not breached. Shortly after, the forest erupted with the screams and howling of the main force, their attack made with only bloodlust in their eyes. They found out just how much Oakmist Vale cares for the forest it dearly protects.
With the Grove rangers, and defenders, stationed outside in the forest, Crow leads the small force back west, to finish off the gnomes, and make their place of worship inaccessible. Later, Crow makes a point to check on the ranger that was bitten by a lycan, reassuring him that he won't be howling at the next full moon...unless, he want's to. It's not like he would be alone here. He leaves the man with his thoughts, and wonders if he just made things worse. The ranger climbs a tree in the back of the Grove and pens some notes, the effects of the weed wine wearing off.
