For several tendays now, infrequent and brief temors have jolted the Quagmire region. Until now, these quakes have been so minor that only those who inhabited the area on a permanent basis felt the small pushes, lurches, and occasional shivers in the earth.

Today, the ground shook enough that the it was felt in Kohlingen and Winya Ravana, as well as the Quagmires. It lasted for only a handful of seconds, and no actual damage was caused - only spooked animals, shook branches, and some spilt drinks - but it took many by surprise as they were reminded that the earth did not perpetually slumber.

A certain bard appears in the area with a few other people. Among them he seems to be the least concerned about the situation and even using a famous Loross proverb to describe the situation: "Eppur si mouve". He goes bellow the said area with his companions and after a certain amount of time he returns with a much more concerned expression on his face.

A notice was posted up in multiple places at the Quagmire, both inside and out of the Caverns, and a barricade of sorts warning travelers of entering the collapsing remains of the Abandoned Underport and Empty Duergar Mines.

Friends of the Quagmire,

We Appreciate the Concern and Aid adventurers are attempting to offer, but we implore all those passing through to avoid the Tunnels, especially during Tremors and Earthquakes.

Guards and Scouts have reported seeing multiple groups entering the unstable passages. Reports that many have nearly fallen to the dangers. Please. The Abandoned, Vast Cavern of the Underport is Collapsing. Until it finishes filling with sand, silt, sediment, stone, and water, the Earth will Quake. This is as natural as vines reclaiming an abandoned Home. Please bare with us in these unstable times.

We will not stop you. We just do not wish to see undue death.

    Thank-You,
    Ambassador of the Quagmire,
    Vuthamolik, Blackhide

In the Quagmire...

As several of the inquisitive, exploratory parties had seen, supplies were gradually being organized for easy relocation out of the caves from the kobold warren, and up into the camp above. These possessions, mostly of a pragmatic and functional nature, were stowed away in one of the rooms not being used by the garrisoned Kohlinger. Eggs and hatched young were also being settled into a temporary dwelling there while the more able-bodied members of the warren continued work and their anticipatory prepations.

A young male drow noble named Vuz'lyn, who frequents the tailoring and weaving workshop in Underport, attempts to find the whereabouts of the drow merchants that worked there. If he finds them, he attempts to contact them and persuade them to apply to the Nec'perya Artisans Network for future employment.

Vuz'lyn, and any others who go the Underport, find it completely abandoned, flooded, and collapsed in sections. Piles of stone and dirt have formed new, building-sized heaps, and water pours in from various fissures in the ceiling. During low tide, the water level is "merely" about thigh level on the average human: during high tide, it is well above the height of most humanoids.

After several tendays of frequent tremors, followed by a tenday of increasingly less frequent ones, the earth seemed to have finally settled again. Thus far, no more quakes were being reported.
