Word begins to spread through the Khem Region, and the connecting areas such as Wiltun, and Guldorand via portal, that the Temple of Lathander in Ne'sek was accosted by a group of several Banites, who ransacked the Temple's donation funds, stole money from the assembled congregation, slew two of the guards, and accosted Si'neela herself. Thankfully, Si'neela made it out alive, though not without her possessions being stolen, including her prized possession - a solid gold Holy Symbol, passed down and held in Ne'sek since the founding of the settlement.

The Temple is offering rewards for the return of the Holy Symbol, as well as any information that could be used to seek justice against the perpetrators, who are being described as Banites - one overly large man, and 3 skinnier men, all roughly human sized, and all wearing the black and green regalia of a worshipper of the Black Hand.

A quiet mulhorandi woman had taken to using the lamps to visit Khem frequently over the last several weeks. The blue uniform and large sword strapped to her back made her an easily recognizable sight. The woman did not seem to hold with such tactics and began to investigate the attack - more likely looking for the attackers themselves.

Matthew seeks to find out by what weapons men were slain by and how they were slain. He also seeks to find out if there was any damage sustained to the temple.

Funerals are carried out for the slain on schedule, as is proper for the region.

The men appear to have been slain by edged and piercing weapons. No lasting damage was dealt to the temple building itself, save minor repairs needed to the door, and replenishing the holy water in the Temple's fonts.

Matthew seeks out Si'neela to perhaps find out if she had seen what specific weapons these men supposedly wielded.

Si'neela, having recovered, says she has little memory of the event: She was accosted from invisibility and knocked unconscious by a blow to the back of the head.

A Greenclad hin would offer a copy of a recent incident report that occurred in Bendir Dale to the church of Nes'ek. Claiming that the individuals shouted nonsense about Bane and the two incidents are likely the same people.

Incident Report

Name of offender(s) / description(s): 3 induviduals - One strong male wearing dark monk-like robes with a hood and long red beak-like mask and dark cloak using a scimitar and black tower shield with metal-colored dimples and had a yellow/gold Ioun stone. The second used a Halberd and a metal helm with large eye-holes, a scarf/cloak dark as well and dark gear, like chain or something, but not wearing a robe. The third was an elf lass that acted coy and shy wearing a dark colored dress and purple/pinkish cloak with gold accents and green hair held up by some hair pins with mildly tanned skin.

Afterwards the halfling would politely ask if there's anything he could do to assist the settlement in its time of need.

After gathering such information Matthew seeks out who may have seen these fellows in their regalia of green to perhaps try once more to find out what weapons they may have wielded. He seeks clarification on one suspect asking if the large one was well built or more so tall or a combination of both. He asks about the Khem Region and offers over a few bits of coin to any one who offers some bit of information.

To the Hin, he is told that they are unsure about the descriptions matching up: There were 4 men, no women, and all of them were roughly human sized, save for the one man much taller and much more heavily built. All of them dressed in black and green, openly wearing the symbol of Bane of their backs. One civilian recalls one of the men using a scimitar, or other large curved blade. He doesn't remember which one.

Both.

A group of four approached Si'neela; Two men and two women. Graven, Taris, Samantha, and Kara. These men and women spoke to the priestess and inquired about the attack. After they left the temple, they took a moment to speak with a beggar outside of the Temple of the crime that occurred.

Amongst other things, it was told to this group that a writ of rights to an iron vein in the desert nearby to Nesek was also stolen. It was mentioned that the iron was mined and stored with the Morgan and Sons company.

One man and two women of the group reported to the Morgan and Sons stall in Wiltun. They advised the vendor there to keep eye out and make note of anyone wishing to withdrawal any iron linked to the writ. After the vendor agreed to this, as well as sending the word to the vendor in Cordor, the group dispersed.
