When in Cordor to sell or buy goods, Meri would make small talk with those he comes across. He would ask how the elections are doing from the various common folk and slip in mention of his friendship with the priestess Talyne, and that, in his opinion, Lannie d'Cordor would be a great fit for the position in the city's government. He mentions that from the times he talked with her, she seemed a marvelous woman and her actions have proven her a natural leader.

A certain knight figure appears around Lanie's guard detail whenever she holds a public speech in front of a larger crowd. Wearing an unmarked armor and an always closed helmet his identity remains unknown. He doesn't seem to be eager to talk to anyone, except for sharing a few brief words with Lanie, he is more busy keeping vigilant eyes while she is holding her speeches. After the speeches and Lanie's return to safety the knight figure disappears with the rest of her guard detail.

In the last days of the election, the two most visible runners in the bid for the Ministry of Labor - Malin and William - are seen walking side by side through West Cordor, making visits to the residents of the poorer district. The sick and the injured - especially those who have suffered injuries in the line of their work - are given monetary relief from Malin; gifts to get them meals and care, and supplement medicines beyond what the Ilmateri chapel has already been providing. Surveys are taken of the living conditions and those having suffered with the worst conditions are put at the top of a list that Malin makes during the rounds, and by the end of the day, ten-thousand gold is distributed from her own shallow coffers to the neediest in West Cordor. Malin and William shake hands after their apparently mutually amicable walk, before parting ways.

Returning to the East district, work orders are placed for new fabric and wood to replace the musty, moldy, mildewy, and rotted parts of the homes surveyed. Signs are placed outside of the City Hall with instructions for those who wish to donate to the cost of the repairs.

Captain Guston and Captain Milian spread enthusiasm with their crew members, speaking praises for prospective Minister Malin. Many denizens of the South, a good portion of the dock workers included, still feel loyalty towards the opposition, William. Though both captains seem to sing their kudos for the relatively lesser known figure, and a chunk of their sailors soon follow suit.

Word of the Worker's guild spread as those who wish to see William as minister take up blue scarfs to wear. Words spread that William intends to enact minimum wages for workers employed by the city.

William however makes an appearance in the North district, taking time to talk to the farmers. Three other men are with him and the four of them spend a full day working alongside the producers of the North district, to better learn what a full days work for them entails.

A small framed lavender haired being makes their way to City hall to deliver their votes verbally.
In a demure voice the smaller speaks loudly and clear.

"Ministry of Finance, Tristana of Waukeen, Ministry of Labor and Business, Malin of Cordor, Ministry of Law, Lady Olivia Sorken, Governor of East Cordor, Ithilwen Snow Lindariel, Governor of North Cordor, Gilbert, Governor of South Cordor, Parulg, and Governor of West Cordor, Law Knight Leonard Lawson." they proclaimed speaking only on those they knew and had met to be of good character.

A beraggled Fymor looking more worse for wear than he had ever publically been, stumbled off a boat from Amn earlier in the day. Whatever his departure was for he looked troubled, but calm enough.

Taking up the local gossip on the political side of Cordor, Fymor darted between words until he noticed the signs outside city hall. A courier then interupted his journey and the letter was one too many worries ontop of another, hands wavering as he went to address personal troubles.

Olivia settles into the city as an ear for the troubled, offering for a pittance of service to Hoar her counsel and aid in matters pertaining to the city's grievance, large and banal alike. Primarily in the Eastern district, though in the final days she found herself near the outskirts North, where the frontier's unique worries settled in the minds of people.

Last day or two, the horde of town criers seem to have changed their tune. Word of Kohlingen kidnapping Joey is on all of their lips. Screaming to the heavens about Kohlingen trying to block the next election by heinous means.. Whispered words say that East/South Cordor are in on it and are trying to put the West back under their proverbial thumb. The push is hard with this rhetoric, and quick as wildfire the entire district has at least heard about Kohlingen sending sneaks into Joeys room in the middle of the night and kidnapping him. Also, how Dirk and the Club evened the score by holding one Genevive Clairemont in their custody to trade. Hot topics on the lips of scoundrels is how Dirk beat Lord Hector Sylgerand in single combat, after making him swear to the Triad that he would free Joey if beaten. Which of course he was, right in the middle of the dancing floor in the Club itself! And how Dirk gave the female from Kohlingen back to the paladin on good faith to return Joey. Everyone knows Dirks honorable like that! As before there isn't a foot of area you can go in round the common outside areas of West Cordor that there isnt an overlay of town criers voices screaming these things.

Hesh would again go visit with his friends in South and Parulg in particular. "So one of the prospective governors for West is one of Dirk's thugs. He got caught for being envolved in theft and murder while stealing holy relics at a temple in another city and so Dirk is now bragging that he kidnapped one of our ally's citizens to force a trade. Is this the crap you want involved in our ministry? You all better think real hard before you cast a vote for Wiliam Finely. He may have come from from South at some point, but now he's a damn Westy, and he's going to bring all the bad baggage that comes with that to our Ministry". * And since Parulg is currently a governor, Hesh would give him the details of the cases envolving Joey and Dirk*. Hesh would ask Parulg to remember why the Sword of South Cordor were instituted and ask how he could ever support a Westy after what they did to our friends and family?

Cor'Xak walks in, looks around, and isn't really noticed.

He votes for Joey, and doesn't vote on anything else.

Eli, having remained quiet through the election, diligently counts and recounts votes, along with the clerks of the Bureau of the Census, to ensure that there are no mistakes in the coming announcement.

On the final day of the elections, a flurry of activity hustles and bustles around with Cordor.

West Cordor publically boycotts a few of the ballots: The amount of people in West that register a vote for the Ministry of Health and Public Wellness could be counted on two hands. Similarly: Anyone with a single ear could tell thta Joey of Cordor has won the governorship of West Cordor in a landslide, and that West Cordor is up in arms about Kohlingen kidnapping their candidate, and demand his release.

Meanwhile, the entire (or what there is of it...) population of Central Cordor, bedraggled, poor, lost, and forgotten, arrives all at once, led by a relatively well clothed man with an eyepatch, and half a left arm. The man identifies himself as Tegrin Gant, and he, along with the rest of the population of Central Cordor, vote almost entirely in unison for the things they do vote for, something that is easily overheard because their votes are all given orally, with the help of Tegrin.: Malin of Cordor, for Ministry of Labor. Lady Olivia Sorken of Hoar, for Ministry of Law. And finally, in a unison of vote that ends up sounding more like chanting than any sort of actual vote....

"FYMOR HARDING!" , Governor of Central Cordor.

~~~~~~~~~~
Voting is closed. All that's left is the bureaucrats.
When wind of such a rally was brought to Fymor's attention, he was pleasantly surprised, taken aback by the show of voice. Fymor himself admitted that he did not expect such popularity and was just happy to make a difference, although it was the folk of Central themselves who were truely responsible for such a thing. A more concise part of his banter was addressed in response, both near city hall and in Central.
"No matter the past, every stone is going to be put back where it belongs! People of Central Cordor, of the Republic, YOU are the brickwork that holds this city together! Many of you have already began placing foundations... and together... we can build a new vision for Cordor!"
Even with ballots closed he was keen on a retort, as the people had spoken and their leader was to be him, a fire set inside his voice as he shouted aloud.
"Together! Every one of you that knows you matter say it with me!"
He then retired to Central, patrolling the streets and flagging down passerbys. One individual caught his attention before Fymor left for home. The word "gov'ner" was on the lips of everyone he spoke to, his name in the minds of the people.
The wishbox had been emptied, innocently left exactly as it was. In the night there was a hushed running of a softpaw that ambled across the district without notice or fanfare. The more simple material wishes of those who had submitted entries had became a reality, suddenly appearing without due cause or notice. Items such a medicine, tools, cloths and food now plentiful in supply along the district of Central. There was no clear indication of who left the gifts, no name left to thank, no face for conversations.
Finally, finally the doors to the Republic City Hall open, and couriers dash out and begin spreading the new of the end of the election. Of the winners of the election.
The winner of the Ministry of Finance is: Tristana of Waukeen!
The winner of the Ministry of Health and Public Wellness is: Lanie d'Cordor!
The winner of the Ministry of Law is: Alice Dearing!
The winner of the Ministry of Labor is: Malin of Cordor!
~~~

The winner of Governor of East Cordor is: Ithilwien Snow!

The winner of Governor of South Cordor is: Parulg!

The winner of Governor of North Cordor is: Gilbert!

The winner of Governor of West Cordor is: Joey of Cordor!

There is no announcement for Central Cordor, despite the massive write-in and voting from Central Cordor.

Bureaucrats say statistics for the voting will be available to the public shortly, but inside sources state that with the exception of Ministry of Law, most victorious candidates won by relatively large margins. Tristana of Waukeen reportedly won a massive 91% of the vote.

With in the past few days Matthew would have been seen with in the city quite often... As the sun began to set yesterday he would have been seen with in the central district with a familiar red eyed pale skinned moon elf and Fymor. The three of them dressed in civilian clothing but gathered close like friends speaking in hushed tones with melancholic expression on the cone cobble stone pavement of the streets. They spoke for quite some time before departing. This day Matthew would have been seen speaking with the new Head Mistress Snow. The two seem to speak pleasantly viewed with friendly expression and after a short time it would seem the Blue Skies Academy would have a new, feathery winged teacher whom had been previously paying small visits to the school.

Uppon hearing the announcement Matthew would take a small trip to the Lathanderite Chapel and pay his respects lighting votive candles as he offers prayer and praise. Afterwards he would offer a small visit to the Western district in the Illmatari temple for his typical routine... He then heads out of the city for a time venturing in to the frontier.

Later that Day Lanie D'Cordor would receive a Floral arrangement to her current place of residence. The arrangement was composed of Apple Blossoms, A golden Compass Flower, rich violet-red Dahlias, vibrant Dragon Lillys, snowy white Elder Flowers, periwinkle purple Flora's Bells, white and purple Gladiolies sprinkled here and there, violet Hepaticas, Ginger stems, fresh mint sprigs, Sage, Rosemary, and last but not least,Oak Leaves. The arrangement was clearly not something made by any of the local florists considering some of the plants used in such an elaborate display. They were bound in blue and champagne colored ribbons and bore a simple yet decorative card with with golden embossed letters written in a fine script that read 'Congratulations ' Uppon the front. The was simply signed with 'Matthew Allan' in a fine handed black inked script. It would seem any message left was to be interpreted from the flowers themselves.

Couriers and messengers spread the news of the day's governmental announcements to anyone who'll tip them a copper.... although anyone who follows them long enough is sure to hear it anyways.

Central Cordor is immediately reinstated as an official District of Cordor.

Fymor Volkov is instated (and has since accepted) as Governor of Central Cordor.

Ithilwien Snow's resignation has been tendered by the Government, and Minister of Finance Tristana now serves as Governor Pro Tempore for East until a suitable replacement can be found.

News rounds West Cordor as well that the Government officially refused to acknowledge Shade as the Governor of West Cordor.

In West Cordor as the cold plagues the lands a familiar violet haired elf like creature most often known in the West as Shade's 'niece' was seen with a few other berks dolling out some fire wood to a few families here or there, or any one needing some extra heat in the frigid winter. A sign is posted out side the Club seeking to higher young foot pads and moonlights of various sorts. For those who come in for the next week it seems the Violet haired fey touched had ensured drinks were on them for all patrons. As for those who sought work to sign on, Tempo favored teens and young adults. It seemed a small Syndicate was forming slowly so. At some point in time over the week Tempo's name is put up for the 'political' position of West.

Tempo can be found in the Club in the west and makes visits to the Current Governor often where they speak for a couple of hours here and there in the office.

As the local kingpins disappeared the west can be found governor less and lately more influenced by the central government. Also, as the locals ceased to receive charity they began to look for work and apparently they found some that was also made available by the central government.
After the work that was provided by the good harvest and the massive amount of public works on the landscape in the northwestern districts both the central and the west can be seen better off as they received real wages instead of manipulated wages, like before. Smaller businesses begin to appear here and there as people starting to be able to afford services again.
Although the sentiment about decentralization still exists it is nowhere as strong as it was a year ago or before that.

The general population all over the city begins to question the need for local governors and Tempo's, Pitt's and Hojo's notices are seemingly disregarded. The majority of the public calls for a tribunal and convention to issue constitutional reform for the sake of effective governance and the population are more busy advocating towards that than towards the supposed elections.

Lady Olivia Sorken, Paladin of Hoar.

"It's with a heavy heart that I come before you, torn by the turn of events in this city. I have always been here to see a unified and judicially sound city abound us, one that takes care of it's people, and punishes it's wrongdoers, not absolutely, but with a fitting lesson, tinged with the hope that it sinks in to create better citizens of our island, not just our state."

"In truth I am angry, I am angry that my running for election last year was set back to the point that I could not enact the changes and forward momentum I saw for this city and island. Instead we find ourselves without the STU, a guardian force, a dwindling protective net of defenders, and a withheld election process. I cannot stand to see the liberty of my people taken from them, it may be that some do not care. To this I say that is sheer negligence, as a member of a community, a city we have every duty to ensure we maintain and build upon that safety network."

"I am once again running for the Ministry of Law, to rectify, rally, and reconstruct the downtrodden aspects of this city, to ever increase the influence and strength of our city-state that we may not only live prosperously, but to share it with our neighbors. To do this first we must look inward, all great change starts with a flickering fire within us, in our hearts, and as a collective, in our city."

// Real talk now. Imagine if in the US, Obama had suddenly announced "We will not have elections this year". Would people just "call for constitutional reform"? No. People would riot. Just the fact of taking freedom away, even if it might be better in the end, makes people riot.

So why is this happening in Cordor? Especially after the history of three (?) different governments seizing power? Elections are held yearly, in November... Where are the elections? Where are the riots? The West is very much NOT happy with a d'Cordor being in the government, at least that was the last I heard. People obviously are not happy enough with the current system, otherwise they would not be calling for a reform. Seriously, where does Cordor's current state make any sense in lore?
