Over the last 10 days hushed words are spoken all over the cities. Fear and panic is starting to spread as prices for bread, fish and other goods slowly begin to rise. Commoners are starting to spend their last money to hoard flour, potatoes, carrots and other long lasting goods.

It all started with a very organized attack on two trade wagons about a tenday ago. The goods were destroyed as were the wagons and the poor oxes. Luckily one of the cart drivers could be rescued and reported of a gruesome attack of a very organized bunch of orcs and goblins out of nowhere.

These reports subtly increase over the next days. Another caravan never arrived in Cordor with fish from Wharftown. It is still missing as are its drivers.

Two trade wagons destroyed in the Amia frontier who were to deliver weapons and shields from Haur to Bendir Dale. Both wagons were found empty and destroyed, the drivers and guards dead. Remains of spike and tangle traps were found at the scene. The drivers were shot and speared.

One wagon of hops and wheat disappeared in the area of Minmir Bridge. No sign of the wagon or their drivers.

A farmer in the cordor outskirts reported two dead cows, poisoned! yesterday morning.

And lastly Bendir Dale niticed several missing chickens aswell as some crops stolen in the dead of the night this morning. Even one cat, Mouser the 10th, has gone missing.

All stories alone seem a minor inconvinience, but as people start to talk the bigger picture becomes more clear. The vendors immediately act to make up the loss of goods and means to deliver them by raising the prices. All the talks have several factors in common. All seem to connect to either orcs or goblinoids and all seem very strategic and organized.

However not only Amia suffers under this phenomen, in Brogendenstein hunting parties of the Uthgardt have been ambushed repeatedly, the hides, meat and furs stolen, the guards and hunters badly wounded and trapped or killed. A Yak is missing aswell.

A red kobold, who is regularly seen walking from Cordor to Kohl, passing through the Amia Forest, has been frequently seen taking a detour through the Nexus Falls along his route. Not overly warded, and with a large eagle, keeping an eye out... though he is still regarded with a wary eye as elves spy him on their roads.

The Armathoras Captain is seen breaking off towards the east of the Falls a lot again, passing by near the ruins, regularly checking for tracks.

A very pissed off Barbarian intensifies his patrols in a medium to close range from the Uthgardt settlement. Usually heavily warded ready to take down an army if needed.

During her patrol route, Elrith keeps a close eye on the area outside of the ruins under cautious stealth, checking it everytime she is out, though doesn't venture inside them. She also keeps careful eye out on the roads through the Amian Forest and Arachnid Valley.

Matthew set out to organize a small party only seeking three to fulfill a few roles. He makes it clear he's looking for a skilled Rogue, Shifter, and either a Mage or Cleric.

Two cycles of the sun had passed since she had answered the pounding on her door to find the elven counselor standing on the other side. Preparations were made, and information passed; including a trading of small trinkets with another counselor outside the entrance to Winya.

This cycle was different, and yet the circumstances as familiar as her own skin. The cool, lightless air of the Underdark caressed her cheek. Her simple black clothing marked her as nothing special to take note of. Her obsidian eyes scanned the surroundings and she turned to travel away from the population and marketplace of L’obsul. Soundless steps took her ever deeper into the treacherous world below. Her unseen movements were slow and precise; a huntress coiled within a pool of shadow waiting for the prey to inch closer.

In a secluded alcove she paused. Hushed words of draconic called forth the spell of tongues before she slipped past a crude sign made of wood and bone.

The Stronghold was a familiar place. She had hunted here often enough in years past. But this cycle, she was looking, and listening for changes that would mark collusion with other forces; as well as indications of who those forces might be…

A mountain of a man carrying a large greataxe and wearing black, burgandy, and gold. Can be seen walking all the paths in the amia forrest, near the nexus falls, and everywhere between cordor and khol, stopping to talk to road wardens and others patrolling the areas.

At the beginning or prior the market panic a certain lord in Kohlingen begins to invest a large sum of money to buy food that he places to the temple for redistribution, outside the grasp of the increasing market prices. Perhaps he was predicting that a few days before or just obsessions. A significant food reserve that is known for being in the custody of Lord Hector Sylgerand and was rumored to be sent to Endir's Point for relief is now withdrawn from preparation to be shipped and moved to the city's reserves.
Clearly, it is an effort of one man and urges other noble houses to follow his example in this matter, unless they serve the city with other ways.

Later the young Lord can be seen walking around and advising the guards about new defensive measures regarding the fields, and anything related to the city's critical infrastructure. especially in the West Coast area.

Merchant caravans are advised to be careful when traveling when moving the sub-Minmir region and advised that they should use sea routes if circumstances allow it. Additional caravan escorts with enough manpower can only be provided if the merchant caravans will organize their land shippings together.

A dark-cloaked figure might be seen (or, most likely, not seen) sneaking around the frontier and north of Bendir Dale, however, it would not go in the orc cave and rather just watch the road.

The human ranger would returned to her old habits, walking the coast road from Wharftown to the Nexus falls in plain sight and challenging any bandit or creature she met upon the road that sort her harm. Interestingly though, rather than just killing them she seems to risk personal injury by entrapping and stunning some of them, even letting the few she beats down leave. With each group she meets she asks the same things over and over, trying to strike up conversation stressing that the Orcs seem none to friendly towards any they happen upon and are taking the food literally from the bandits mouths.

A hooded dark robed Figure can be seen collecting the bodies and some of their parts with the aid of a Greater Mummy and leaving anything useless behind. Before they are taken however, they are completely removed of any possessions they had. Any non-humans were simply left where they were.

In the days surrounding the raids, the scarred visage of Whurak Valtensson, one of the High Councillors of Barak Runedar, can be seen abroad more often. It seems as though he is coordinating cooperative efforts between his settlement and that of the elves, and to a lesser extent the City of Kohlingen. When he isn't seen on the war path, he can be seen stalking the wilds, looking for prey of one form of another. Mostly returning with game animals which are taken into the hold to be salted or dried.

A man wearing faded gold armour and a dark cloak over his shoulders hears of the panic, deciding to leave posts all throughout Cordor that he is willing to console any through the light of Lathander and his own somewhat limited wisdom on remaining courageous and healthy in these tough times, teaching others how to conserve food, also offering moments of prayer and blessing in groups.

Messengers are dispatched from Barak Runedar to Winya Ravena, as well as within the city itself. They are asking for a time that skilled personnel of both cities are available for a joint strike or raid against the orcish menace. The destination is not certain, but there are certainly several targets to strike against.

It seems as though one dwarf in particular is on the warpath.

With the threat to food supplies from all sides, one skinny sun elf does her part to contribute to the dwarven citadel's reserves. Each day, she takes her fishing and trapping gear out into the snowy port, wrapped in her fine leathers and furs. She spends at least six hours each day working the traps and fishing, supplying all but a very small portion for herself to the hold's food reserves.

Deep in the hold, sometimes under Whurak's supervision and sometimes alone, she can be found in the training hall, honing her skill with both blade and bow. Apparently the quiet little elf is ready to more directly assist the home she has known for years.

Orcs are a common foe, after all, between the elves of her blood and the dwarves of her heart.

A few carts are prepared with crates of fresh produce from the small work camp from Ruin Hill. Each cart gets escorted to a few of the cities being Cordor and the Dale.

Not too long after the small shipments are gifted to the cities the Western Coast is seen to by a man in Armour. Brigands and Bandits beware as this particular being sweeps through the surrounding lands.

Another visitor plumbs the depths of the underdark, quietly traveling the tunnels down from the Frozenfar to the bustle of L'Obsul. From the shadows he emerges, taking the guise of a lowly mushroom fermenter. The seemingly timid and unimposing trader begins to peddle his firey alcoholic wares amoungst the Orog smiths of the city below. The pitiful looking creature does little to draw attention to himself instead prefering to blend into the other raggedy food and drink hawkers which frequent the area. He tolerates any mistreatment and abuse of his brutish customers well, but placating them with submissiveness and discounted booze any which look like they might actually do him serious harm. He returns each cycle to the markets and forges, going about his business silently and watchfully.

There've been plenty of attacks during the last few weeks. Some were prevented by adventurers and guards, many were not. Others were even aided by local adventurers.

The common folk is still in panic about the food supplies. It seems Kohlingen is best off right now as a private person bought a huge food supply for a massive amount of gold for the citizens of Kohlingen.

As a result the shortage grew higher in all other cities of Amia and the prices shot into the sky after someone had paid millions for food.

Then since a few days, after a large attack of elves and others onto a base of the orcs, the raids have calmed down. There still are occasional ones, mostly on late and small caravans and a few goblins at night steal food and animals from the outskirts.

Still, food remains high in demand and short in supply, the common folk clearly worried and on the edge. Hopefully the raids remain as low as they have been after the large assault against the gruesome creatures.

Considering that harvest time is yet to come, Hector doesn't look that worried. He increases the presence of the guards and rangers on the fields to prevent raids.

One certain Avariel seems to be taking unusual care of plants around Winya Ravana. He's silently walking from one plant to another, silently mumbling in Auran. To those, who understand, it seems he's clearly praying to Aerdrie Faenya, while using his abilities to support the growth and health of anything, that can provide food to Winya Ravana.

Hesh would be seen working with the Farmers in Cordor's North District when not on Law Knight patrols. He would use multiple elemental forms to assist in making sure the crop planting, growth, and gathering potential is maximized. He would also use what Druidic magic he had to augment that growth.

As things begin to settle a Kohlinger ship arrives to the docks of South Cordor, rumored to be carrying food supplies. Upon docking a certain young lord can be seen disembarking the ship with his betrothed, Lady Lanie d'Cordor, the minister of public health and welfare. While the young Lord helps to get the cargo off the ship, Lanie begins to coordinate logistics for storing and distributing food supplies to reduce the demand. As the cargo is unloaded the young lord stays by her fiancée but doesn't seem to interfere with her work as minister since they are on Cordorian soil.

*The last few weeks have been rather quiet in matters of orcs and goblins. No Hobgoblins were seen altogether. There are certain rumors where they drew back to after the heavy frontal assault that was launched against them those few weeks ago for those who had investigated the last weeks.

However for a day or two now, the goblins have started to snoop around again in places they usually rarely are. They stayed at a distance to villages, those with keen eyes or ears could however spot them watching from atop a tree or from behind a bush. Should they notice someone seeing them they quickly scurried off back into the Bramble Woods or sometimes just into the wilds.

Instead of more, the usual orc numbers however seemed less the last days. Something is definately going on there.

The farmers in Cordor rumor it may be related to the upcoming harvest, worried for their crops. Other simply say "they've always been weired".

There is an odd tension in the air though even if it is fairly quiet. Perhaps a little too quiet under the gaze of the overserving goblins.

On Brogendenstein however there have been no sightings of such goblins or the greenskinned orcs.*

// Something will happen here tomorrow, Sunday 14th around 5pm EST. I will not say what exactly or where exactly (only that it will be on Server A). This is just a heads up for those who wanted to be involved but happened to miss the earlier raids.

Since the raid on Cordor, Crow has increased his patrols through the Bramble Woods and surrounding areas. The few goblins that happen across him are found dead, either with arrows protruding out of them, or their throats ripped apart by a dire wolf. Some of the goblins have arrows missing, as unbroken arrows are collected and reused.
