In the afternoon, a certain ship a captain had dubbed 'The Queenie' arrived at Wharftown. The passengers included a crew all garbed in dark brown and moldy green, soaked as if a sea mishap had happened. They introduced themselves as traders from the Sword Coast region, looking for business related to their cloth and leather supplies. The leader of this crew appeared to be a middle-aged man named Guy Koont, who would often see their trade ongoings.

News circulates that the sea mishap was caused by a Sahuagin ambush. Whilst Captain Jason, an often seen sailor around the parts of Wharftown, managed to save the members of the crew on a stranded island, all but one was missing and the cargo lost somewhere in the Trackless Sea. Some brave adventurers and the like have taken it upon themselves to find the missing crew member 'Xavier' and retrieve the cargo. Although the road to success wasn't a straightforward one, where a few complications had risen due to the conflicts of interests within the adventuring party. Eventually, the objectives were met, where crates were stacked and stored temporarily in some inn rooms and the youngest member Xavier rejoined his crew.

Xavier can be heard loudly in Wharftown's Inn, bantering to his peers about being taken care of by an 'elf-looking' woman with fishtails who he would regard to as 'beautiful', and to more horrid stories where he was held captive by a vicious woman from the rescue party. The crew members would laugh and joke about this, finding the tale both absurd and humorous.

Making his way back to Wharftown and the Inn, Hugh would take an ale, sipping it silently in a corner until he heard the young man carrying on. At that point he would merely confirm the boy's story, merely saying "Yes, I was there."

Earlier in the day, the Traders residing at Wharftown have been sighted by residents taking some kind of trip back forth to somewhere on boat and bringing crates back as part of their leather and cloth trade business. Few of those crates were manually transported to South Cordor docks.

News had travelled fast about a disastrous circus magic-act held by a group called 'Bella Rogue' that occurred later in the day, where a woman with an aquamarine fishtail was gruesomely flung in the air by acrobats. Whilst there were rumours about the circus group being 'slavers', others mostly spoke about some mysterious and hooded figures ambushing those who attempted to incapacitate the circus leader and stop the performance. Bystanders in Cordor would also witness and tell a tale of a sort of chase, where the clown-clothed members escaped from the festival grounds to South Cordor carrying a large brown sack, and having supposedly 'disappeared' without much of a trace. Members of the Bella Rogue were not to be seen in Cordor since then.

The Wharftown docks were visited once more again by adventurers, where an injured fish-tailed woman boarded passage with an old Halfling and the known Captain Jason.

Alarm bells rang in Guldorand once again. Sounds of flute and song can be heard in the skull crags south of the mountainous town. Citizens and even some militia members marched south in a trance-like state to Sandy Beach, even some of the trolls and beetles were dazed. It wasn't until help came along, where mind-blanks and protection provided by a rescue party aided the poor victims of the bardic compulsion. Some victims made it to the end of the march and were escorted by a lone warrior back to Guldorand, unhappy their minds were abused and pickpocketed, despite a kind elf compensating their financial loses. "Petty thugs" they called the perpetrators. Whatever happened at Sandy Beach lead to any sights or sounds of the circus group 'Bella Rogue' left gone from Amia.

The guards in Wharftown could often be seen near the docks, performing heavy searches on freights for every ship that comes their way. If one were to ask why the sudden tighter security, the guards would suggest that there have been rumors of some 'illegal' activity rising. Rumors spread of some growth of illegal trade and merfolk trafficking which has expanded to several areas, including the brigands north of the town, perhaps West Cordor and an upcoming attraction soon to happen at Demonreach.

(//Upcoming event on Saturday 30/06, 8 PM GMT).

The recent attraction at the Hangman's Cove turned out to be an array of surprises. Suspicions aroused of the group of traders in brown and green, bearing no company name, being associated with a no good-doer circus group. Protective wards were cast only to gain the attention of pirates and have them gone. Hecklers, supporters and sight-see-ers alike gathered for a 'legal' auction as the traders would call it. What could possibly go wrong?

If one were to stick around the Hangman's Cove after the auction, a hatted woman and the traders could be seen searching the Hangman's Cove and the nearby wilderness hastily. Something of theirs appeared to be missing. One might even spot Bobina, a woman wearing a pointy hat and known as the front face of the traders, yelling at two of the brown and green-garbed traders in the Mermaid's Tail.

The traders gathered on a vessel and sailed west-north-west once the day was over.

A heavy storm brewed some days ago in Wharftown. Thunder clapped and lightning roared. Waves of water crashed over to the docks, destroying ships and leaving nearby infrastructure to ruin. Many had claimed to witness the local militia and adventurer aid taking out 'giant blobs of water', with one hostile sea-wave even reported to have been turned into stone. Adventurer aid had traveled the path south, then returned back to the coastal town on a ship with dead merfolk. After much conversing with some foreign fishtailed visitors, and the dead plopped back to the sea with them, suspicion rose of whether 'vengeance' would be back.

Gradually dock repairments were making progress and business slowly began to run as usual. Wharftown guards had doubled their watch of the sea. They were ever cautious.

Grey traveller arrived to the Wharftown some time after, and made inquiries regarding the incident and current state of affairs.

Many of the townspeople would suggest the attack on Wharftown had begun since the poachers' arrival, who had ired the fury of some sea-creatures and thus lead to the coastal town becoming endangered. One thing for certain was that the dark green-garbed poachers were no longer around Wharftown and would not be found anywhere near the west coast of Amia after the attack. The residents would think that they were completely wiped out hours after the last incident.

Should anyone seek the local dock workers for information, they would describe that 'some adventurers of all sorts' may try to appease the fish-tailed ceatures and prevent any future disasters to come. The Mayor and the militia would not take any official action at the current state of affairs, for now, though would remain vigilant and ready for the worst if it should come.

A complete document of expenses would not be given to Almare from the Wharftown militia or Mayor Garth, though inquiring from the workers around the docks would suggest two ships had been damaged during the raid, with one ship containing various cargo from fishing equipment, leather and food supplies ruined. Karyon, the storage container merchant would also suffer some loss of containers and equipment.

Grey traveller would congratulate officials of Wharftown on failure to produce the tally, and inquire further on combat performance of the militia, if any.

They would state that the complete documents including the tallies were for trusted officials of Wharftown, and to speak to Garth personally about requiring them. Any talks with the militia about their performance would be met with confusion towards the inquiries, though would describe many had left their posts to aid the battle against the water elementals and were left with no casualties by the end of it, thanks to the dedication and manpower during the event.

A green-clad ranger can be seen headed into the inn speaking to Mayor Garth. Moments later a pouch was handed over before he begins his patrol around the west coast, taking the north and returning back to Wharftown, then south and back again. This would become a routine often seen from the young man. Meanwhile, there were no sights of a red-hatted criminal around the west coast. Perhaps her presence no longer lingered across Amia, or perhaps it did in a most covert fashion.

'A bloodbath' at the Mermaid's Tail establishment, according to rumours across the Hangman's Cove and eventually reaching Kampo's and the southern district of Cordor. Patrons, dancers and the barkeeper Eric of the establishment would tell tales of the now dead Bobina, the hatted criminal, alongside her shifty crew hailing from Soubar. Her exploits regarding merfolk, pillaging islands, ransoms and illegal trade of all sorts, now coming to an end. Whilst some of the tavern's patrons would be unhappy that the villainous crew, yet good customers, were no longer around, other workers would be relieved of the hard work providing entertainment to a wild crowd. Eventually business within the Mermaid's Tail continued as usual after moments of rest. Without a doubt, money was always a simple and effective motivation for the land of outlaws. Who cared about morals?

Meanwhile, the Salandrans Temple had a new patient for a day after the 'Mermaid's Tail Bloodbath'. Fortunately, this patient was not inflicted with any serious wounds and was allowed to return Wharftown. He introduced himself as Xavier Pronworth, a man used to the ways of outlaw-ish deeds and now a freelancer adventurer. Occasionally he can be seen ordering a glass of whiskey from Garth at the Slanty Shanty, sometimes taking the sails with Jason on the dubbed 'Queenie II'. Frequent visitors of Wharftown may find him lingering around, patrolling the coast and returning back to town.

The seas remained calm. The sight of a fish-tailed man or woman were non-existent, from the waters surrounding the Amia at least. Perhaps a time of respite from this end, but like all peaceful periods, they're only so shortlived.
