So I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly but every time I speak with the NPC for the blackguard spells I just get a dialog saying they stare at me then look away disapointed. Little confused and wondering if this is a bug or did the NPC change or what have you

Are you speaking with the correct one? There are two I believe, depending on your alignment!

Was not aware there were different ones for differing alignments O_o

Yup! Two of them, I believe. In two 'evil places' somewhere around. (A 'big bad' city and Zanshibon, I believe. )

There's a lawful city and a chaotic city. I wonder if NE can speak to both trainers?

Don't suppose anyone would be able to tell me how to get there as I haven't been able to find anyone IC that can show my character

Neutral evil struggles, both trainers won't award the abilities to a neutral evil alignment oddly. Not sure if it's a bug but like the above posters have mentioned, AFAIK theres only two trainers.

I tried on a NE guy back in March 2015, I remember Ama and I chatting, we couldn't work out what is was with the one in zanshibon, Same as the other in the "Big bad city"..

Although beaversneezes did put a post up about it I think, might be worth digging that up..

Having played a NE blackguard, I haven't had any issues with the Zanshibon trainer (I don't think I even know which NPC the other trainer is). Are you sure your WIS is up to snuff?

This might actually be your problem. If you dump wisdom you can't get any off the Blackguard spell like abilities other than aura of despair
