I make a new character, Iam pondering if I should take a 1 handed Rdd or a 2 hander RDD. Then I take into account these things.

1-1 handed wep with a shield for good AC.

2- 1 good 2 handed weapon for really good damage.

Then I realise, why are we still having 1h weapons on Amia since i can monkey grip and keep the shield.
Dammit i had to lose 4 will save *cough* *Laugh*

Honestly, why pick a 1 hander wep at all if only to actualy lvl up with a shield.( thats the only viable reason)

Ban monkey grip or make it only usable if you use 2 times a 2 handed wep with really reduced AB.

Oh wait! I know what to do,

Phase 1:use a 1 handed weapon with a shield the whole 1-30 grind, pick feats for a 2 hands weapon along the way even if the character never actually used that weapon.

Part 2: So when I hit 30 I can monkey grip and be already focused into this 2 hander wep and add a shield!.

Soo not broken.

you don't do 1.5 strength while monkey gripping. you use it like a 1 hand weapon and take various penalties to do so.

You need consistent RP with your weapon, and you also need to be trained by an existing MG master.

And you lose enough damage to make it only marginally better than using a 1-handed weapon.

Bragging rights and cool factor are also a thing because purely using a two handed weapon on Amia is just painful, even in PvE.

you also get blown up when suddenly attacked because you can't one-click equip weapon and shield, it takes like 18 seconds minimum.

You can't if you do not get DCs. And well not everyone gets them ;)

MG is hardly 'op' you get a tiny damage bonus
Compare a Longsword to a greatsword and you get +6 Damage the only weapon actually worth MG is on a Scythe Wm as the crit range is X5 but mutch like Commie i'l probably never find a single player willing to teach MG to a scythe Wm
But that's just my opinion
