This has been bugging me for awhile. So Wizards who are specialists in Abjuration, Evocation and Transmutation cannot use Raise Dead scrolls because it is a conjuration spell which they are prohibited from casting.

The only alternative I know of is the Second Chance Rings in the Abyss shop but that's hardly a sustainable option for hunting and it kinda sucks you can't raise your party members from the dead.

Can we make Raise Dead scrolls usable by these specialist wizards? Or have a more easily accessible alternative?

Usually I would say, "thats the price you pay." I would also argue that resurrection / raise dead is too available as it is, leading to the usual "death means nothing on Amia" and that restricting it is a good thing.

But, wizard specialisations don't truly work as they should in NWN anyway. And if a fighter can use a raise dead scroll, then a specialist wizard should be able to as well.

Whether that can be fixed though, due to being a hard-coded restriction, is the real question.

It might be simpler to make a rause dead "widget". Those still work, even from restricted schools, right?
