A small kobold can be seen around the Academy. He often has his little reptilian head buried in the 'Student's Guide to Shadowdancing', wandering aimlessly around the halls. The kobold's favourite spot in the academy seems to be just outside of the shop area, where he practices his skills.

Anyone venturing down into the cellar would find Sjach practising diligently amongst the boxes and sacks of various things. He generally slips into the room, sets up a little candle in the middle of the room, and then practises his various skills.

Thusfar, his favourite definitely seems to be the Shadow Daze, which he flings towards a target on the wall as often as he can.

Sjach can be seen jumping up and down as he leaves the Master's exam. In a general good mood, the kobold leaves a little bag of gold in the student's quarters for some lucky person to find and enjoy. He hisses out a little laugh as he contemplates ease in which he passed the exam. Of course, it was only theory. Theory is easy, the practise is hard. And with that final thought, the kobold cut short his celebration and made his way back down to the cellar, where he continued to test his ability.

Sjach sat quietly in the library of the Academy tonight. The little kobold's claws held a delicate quill; and much more easily than one would expect of him! He hissed a little as he attempted to sort through the complicated thoughts that filled his mind.

To his left sat a few finished pages, full of draconic script. And on his right, the small pot of ink he had been working with. Sjach hissed again and set down his quill, then read over his current work.

He was stuck. Sort of... He knew what he wanted, but the theory behind it made no sense. It was a simple idea, even to the point of being comical.

Of course his thoughts were far beyond what he set down, however he couldn't seem to get it down on paper. Sjach hissed out a laugh. Maybe it would be clearer after he basked in the warmth of the fire.

Tonight, (Since it is almost always night in the Shadow Plane! Or at least just as dark as a moonless night.) Sjach explores to the north of Shadowscape. He could have be seen at the northern gates, preparing himself with various magical trinkets, and steeling his nerves. The little kobold hissed a little as he considered what he might face...

...Well, it could be anything. He had researched the Shadow Plane extensively, however only had a theoretical knowledge of the surroundings of Shadowscape. The little kobold knew his limits, though, and decided he would only have a little 'taste' of the surroundings. He slipped outside of the gates, and scurried off into the darkness.

After abandoning his research (temporarily), Sjach has been focusing more on his Shadow Illusion skills. Every now and then, Kurtulmak's holy symbol can be seen floating in the basement of the Academy. Sjach is generally spending alot of time down there, going over the basics again, and again, and again, and again...

...and again. He finally stops after a few hours, reaches into a bag, and feeds on some rats he caught in Amia Forest earlier on. When he finishes his meal, he starts to practice again...

Sjach is less often seen around the academy, but that could be the biggest sign that his training is improving! Every now and then his hissing and spitting can be heard as he beats the stuffing out of the combat dummies in the cellar. He is often seen coming into view in the entry of the academy, ducking in or out of the door on one of many errands.
