My studies of Shadowdancing have left a few questions open, which I wish to delve further into. There is one in particular which I believe will drive my focus over a particularly dangerous path. My intuition tells me that it can be answered without my death, my mind says otherwise. I hope that I will have my answer before the answer kills me.

Initial questions to answer:
Could it be possible for a shadowdancer to use the shadow to change their form?

Does the depth tone of a shadow strengthen or weaken the effectiveness of shadow abilities?

How far could the Shadow Evade skill be altered?

Is it focus or relaxation of the mind which increases the capacity for shadow manipulation?

Are shadows manipulated by our imaginative minds, or by direct instruction of focused thought?

If it was possible to change one's form using the shadow, would it be possible to return to that form?

How strong is the metaphysical understanding of the self?

If removed from a body for some time, then replaced, would a mind recognise it's body?

If removed from it's body for some time, then replaced, would a gnome's head try to tell a joke? Not enough time.

I expect these questions will keep me thinking.

Is a Shadow Form possible?

I'm willing to believe it is possible. Given the magical nature of the multiverse, the link between all things, surely there could be a way to facilitate the change of form using shadow. My problem is, how? I have set myself an almost impossible task, since to test my theories will likely result in death if they fail. I'm hesitant of showing my ideas to other dancers, for fear of them being stolen, however at some point I will have to seek the advice of other Masters.

Until that point I will have to attempt to answer the questions that I can, and perhaps build a few theories on how my results may come about.

People I must seek out:
- A monk who has attained a deep understanding of the concept of time. Perhaps an elven monk would be best, or another long lived creature. One of my earlier theories was to do with time. See 'Time Theory'.
- A wizard who specialises in transmutation. I assume that this class of wizard would have a fair knowledge of manipulating matter and the various methods used in magic. Perhaps I could apply some of these principles to my own work, since they appear to have close ties at surface value.
- A master shadowdancer. Or ten. The more, the better. Hopefully I can answer a few of my questions with those who have thought more thoroughly on the theories of shadowdancing.
- An illusionist. I might aswell check if there are links between my Shadow Illusion magics and their own illusions. Perhaps they can offer guidance here. I might even get to torture a gnome in the meantime!
- A druid who shapeshifts often. Or a shapeshifter of some sort. Hopefully they will help me understand their concept of the true self, which I have a strong sense will need to be understood in order to change back.

Back to my first question. Can it be done? I will find out. For better or worse. It is my hope that the answer will be as delicious as this halfling's rib bone.

Time Theory

It may be possible for concealment through time. A similar premise to the Premonition spell, I think this may be the basis of one of the ways to make this happen. I'm not sure of the format, but the idea seems alright when it is in my mind. I've found a ball which can be used to make darkness. How much time does it take for the light to dissapear when darkness is struck? To this, I put my thoughts.

...Literally a dead end. I don't want to remember what happened. Never follow leads which deal with time. Ever.

With my skills as they are, it seems that finding the solution to my idea is currently unfeasible. Perhaps in time the concepts will form in my mind, but for the moment, I must focus on my study of shadowdancing.
