Construction of Drydock Responsible: Ulviir Lolarox, Victyr Lolarox - Decide location ✓ - Location of Drydock is C12, C13, D12, D13, E12, E13 (MAP COORDINATES) - Decide design/layout X - Calculate material cost X - Construct drydock X Having spoke to the Captain of the Spider Bearer, he along with myself and Naltyrr feel that those locations would not work. Instead, we feel that L3, L4, L5, M3, M4, M5, N3, N4, N5 and O3, O4, O5 are better suited for such an operation. There is doubt if we will even need the drydocks at all. Having a hand in this construction, place my name on the list for responsible. Il'haress Tal'vyrea Lolarox

The recordkeeper Ulviir makes copies of the documents presented and adds them to the collection of documents bearing the name "Overwiew"

I don't oppose moving the location of the drydock to the suggested coordinates of L3, L4, L5, M3, M4, M5, N3, N4, N5 and O3, O4, O5.
As for the question of necessity, it is in Nec'perya's interests to have a strong naval presence. So the question I put to the Captain, just how much potential benefit could the drydocks be?
Now, concerning the construction of the drydocks, as Victyr correctly surmised it is a simple matter of using stone shape. Attached is a diagram of how we can use stone shape to create the bottom level of the drydocks.
I can do it myself, having just recently acquired the necessary clay for the spell reagents. The only complication thereafter would be the water-lock mechanism.

Not only must the bottom be formed, but a temporary 'scaffolding' wall should be formed to separate it from the main body of water. What we end up with will essentially be a trench that much be drained. Once it is drained, operational gates can be constructed, along with a drainage mechanism, and a 'run' for ships to rest on when the water is drained. That will be our drydock. Leave the complicated, intelligent stuff to me, Naltyrr. You just wave your wand and make the rock move.

As I said, the only complication would be the waterlock and all its associated complications! It seems I cannot trust a mind so steeped in the mundane to read the full meaning of my words.
The stone will be moved through such movements in the Weave that only a few can fully appreciate. Once you've given me the measurements of how deep the dry dock ought to be.

It ought to be deeper than the ship.

At some point a parchment appears with the other documents. It is on top, left when no one was around, and is quite oddly direct.
Construction of this dry dock will not begin before the matter of the Queen's children is addressed. Do not forget they are nesting in the cave outside of which this dry dock is now supposed to be located.
One wonders if their care has been taken into consideration, for even if the formation of the dry dock is quiet the resulting ship construction would not be. It is quite possible they would take offense to such events unfolding so close to their home.

*a note is left on top of the Ul'ath'tallar's desk in fine parchment*
Ul'ath'tallar,
We shall see to the needs of the Dread Queen's children first before beginning construction of the drydock. If you would be so helpful to send me the requirements needed to ensure her children are taken care of and I shall see to it myself.

How is the current progress concerning this? Are we even in need of a dry-dock or is hauling ships up upon land onto logs enough? We have sufficient manpower at least to pull ships up with the purchase of the 70 slaves from Underport.
Esteemed leaders please decide if we need the drydock or not

At some point after another note is added.
The drydocks have been agreed upon, and plans are being laid firmly. Everything is being set into motion.

I mean no disrespect but considering we managed to upgrade one of the old barges into what became the magnificent Spider Bearer i feel there's no need to focus on a dry-dock; Hauling the ship up ashore and working on it there was adequate enough. Our Skum Golems did the job without any issues.
I actually advice against putting resources and time into a drydock entirely. It could put focus elsewhere where it's needed more.
