Those traveling through the library might occasionally notice an odd sight, Mortin- in the library...of his own free will and ambition.

Apparently he's pulling books on the 'shadow-weave', and a few on Shar looking up the connections between she and Mystra, and he looks mildly interested in it, not even a trace his book-typical bored out of his mind expression could be found. He summons a wraith every once in awhile to go off on some 'errands', but they normally return within an hour or so, he also summons shades and studies the differences...although not likely to be getting anywhere too far on his own... those curious enough, and with a keen eye for lore, may notice he has new robes on the desk he frequents, of shadow-origins, armor created of darkness that he molds under robes. -another armor is present on his desk, this one seeming far more run-of-the-mill, however close inspection reveals tiny runes written on every chain. ...he's obviously up to something...

There is incredibly little documentation on the Shadow Weave. It seems Tarkuul is no exception to that rule. Shar and Mystra find much more documentation though.
