-CAPTAIN-

The Captain delegates general orders to others of the guard, the Captain receives his orders from the Consulate or Speaker who in turn would receive them from the Voice.
The Captain takes precedence in all matters of the protection of Tarkuul, as directed by the Voice and the Consulate.

The Captain must hold regular meetings with members of the guard, to ensure duties are being performed correctly, also to keep all members up to date with on goings in the City. Inform the Speaker and Consulate with any and all happenings in the City.

LIEUTENANT Test:
* Must know the Laws of The Living City.
* Must know all the locations of interest inside the Living City and able to take interested parties there.
* Must know the rules of the Living City Guard.
* Must know how to detain or expel law breakers.
* Must know all Tarkuul Instructors by name and sight.

Lieutenant activities:
* Salute all ranks above you.
* Know all the Tarkuul instructors by name and by sight & nod respectfully to all Tarkuul instructors.
* Patrol and take privates & Sergeant-at-Arms on patrol.
* Write and submit reports of your patrols to Captain Aly’isgar.
* Teach Sergeant-at-Arms how to detain or expel law breakers.
* Assist the Captain in special projects to assist Instructors and The Living City.
* Assist the Captain in maintaining appropriate melee training.
* Assist the Captain in maintaining proper discipline of the guards including rewards and punishments of the current guards.

SERGEANT-at-ARMS Test:
* Must know the Laws of The Living City.
* Must know all the locations of interest inside the Living City and able to take interested parties there.
* Must know the rules of the Living City Guard.

Sergeant-at-Arms activities:
* Salute all ranks above you.
* Know all the Tarkuul instructors by name and by sight & nod respectfully to all Tarkuul instructors.
* Patrol and take privates on patrol.
* Write and submit reports of your patrols to Captain Aly’isgar.
* Learn how to detain or expel law breakers.

PRIVATE Test:

* Must know the Laws of The Living City.
* Must know the location of the Captains office, the Headmistresses office and the Library.

Private activities:
* Learn the locations of all areas in The Living City.
* Learn the rules of the Living City Guard.
* Salute all ranks above you.
* Learn all the Tarkuul instructors by name & nod respectfully to all Tarkuul instructors.
* May only patrol with a Sergeant at arms, Lieutenant or the Captain
* Learn how to write reports of your patrols to Captain Aly’isgar.


-Rules-

1. Enforce the Laws of the City.

2. Follow the orders given by your superiors.

3. Show respect and curtesy to all Tarkuulians and visitors.

4. All members of the Protectorate are to follow the orders given by the Consulate or the Speaker. Unless they breach the laws of the City or the Protectorate. Or priority order given by the Captain herself.

5. What happens outside of Tarkuul, stays outside of Tarkuul. Whilst within the City members must act accordingly. However outside, individual misgivings are their own. Actions against each other are not the concern of the Protectorate. (Though if such actions cause harm to Tarkuul, the matter will be brought to the consulates attention)

6. All members of the Protectorate using the resources of the city are to do so with caution and respect, those seen misusing or damaging said resources will be punished.

7. All members must perform their listed duties under their rank, failure to do so will be considered dereliction of duties an misconduct, leading to loss of rank or removal from the Protectorate.The Duties, Ranks and Rules of the Protectorate are subject to change at the whim of the Cities leading officials.

-Cloak of Rank-

Your Cloak of Rank is to be worn when performing duties in the City, if you are in the City and not on duty or performing tasks do not wear your Cloak of Rank.

Your Cloak of Rank must be cleaned and kept in pristine condition, it is expected that your armor, robes or clothing is well kept also. Unruly behavior when in your Cloak of Rank is -NOT- tolerated.

Captain - Red
Lieutenant - Golden yellow

Sergeant - Blue

Aly'isgars office is neat and clean.

She's added a few items: on an armor stand is a yaun'ti bikini with dried yuan’ti blood and although some care was taken to make it look as if it is in one piece, clearly it’s been slashed to ribbons; hanging around its neck is a smallish whip and finally a framed painting of a red scimitar, the design is rough and the medium used was thin enough to cause drips yet the drips look as if they were flattened like the parchment was pressed against something. Anyone taking the time to look closer would swear that the paint used was most likely blood. And that no actual brush strokes were used.

Captain Aly’isgar herself patrols the Living City and then exits into the swamps where she spends hours before returning to shower off the stench and patrol again. It seems she really doesn’t sleep much. Although High Priest Vlos is occasionally seen entering her office at which point the door is closed and locked.

The roster is posted on the outside of the Captains door, held in place with a dagger. It seems new names are added to it.

The roster vanishes from under the dagger for just a little while and when it next is affixed to the door with a powerful jab of a dagger by Captain Aly'isgar, it's been updated.
