After the High Captain speaks to others about food stores being tended to that will last two weeks, Calypso decides to bring up the megabison she happened upon up north, deciding to mention it for the purpose of gathering meat in steady supply to feed the newly arrived fourteen hundred refugees from Cordor. Speaking how she can fell them with little effort and focus on the throat area to not contaminate the meat.



Her, not so, good of an idea for a freezer suggestion is shot down since apparently the corpses would contaminate the meat. It was suggested soon after to speak with Marigath about it and possible storage ideas. Although her idea of using the freezer was dismissed, the High Captain assigns Calypso with the task of collecting the meat.



Not long after a dwindling party is gathered to Brog soon only two remain to finish the job. Unrelenting and resolute on the task Watcher Calypso and Mary find the sought after behemoth and the fight begins.



The beast finally falls. It's gutted and field dressed which is the extent of Calypso's knowledge of such then ported back to Tarkuul.





Upon reaching the gate discussion insues of "ok... so what now?". as Mary readily points out. Calypso, upon looking at the path ahead believes the megabison won't fit through the gates of the city and not having any idea the weight limits on the bridge and thinking ahead to the size of the door at the tavern, an idea comes to mind.



After Mary leaves, Calypso waits ready to drag the beast into the incoming portal heaving with some effort to drag it with her.



A -huge- surprise awaits Marigath when she ports in with the massive beast. She immediately goes to speak with him expecting him to be somewhat unprepared for the arrival.

Calypso will continue this routine with whoever she finds available upon porting into the city. This hunting trip is done whenever the meat stores are running low and demand for it to be replenished is needed.

Marigath would seem most grateful for the extra supplies, especially given the vast quantity of mouths he has to feed these days.

In fact, as the weeks progress since the Cordorian citizens have arrived, it seems that some of them who have a cooking background would have been conscripted by Marigath to help him in the kitchen. Though he seems to rarely have time to speak these days, he seems to be in exceptionally good spirits, some of his surly nature having been replaced with the hustle and bustle of a successful kitchen.

Truly the man is in his element!
