On the path to the Lost River, by a shipwreck, a half-buried man lays in the sand, the only making him noticeable against the sands are the five bolts impaled in various spots on his back. Judging by the mans attire, one would could easily figure him to have been a mage of sorts. As well as this, several items are still held in the mans hands, though nothing of great worth. Namely an arcane staff and a tome marked with the symbol of Thoth seem to be the most predominant objects; the rest having been looted off his corpse or lost beneath the desert sands...

Mahir Ramathant, Sekhry of Djedet, encounters this man. He places the man on a sledge and pulls him unceremoniously into Djedet, looking for any of the priestesses whom frequent the sands.

Asiya would be found easy enough... and would eye the corpse suspiciously and then for markings of ethnic heritage and signs of necromancy before doing anything with the corpse.
