Chosen of Ma'at

Description: The Chosen of Ma'at, colloquially known as the Keys, are the handpicked chosen of the Spirit/Goddess Ma'at recently unveiled upon Faerun due to the Red Hand crisis that is slowly spreading across the Alambar Sea. The Chosen act as the Divine Heralds of the Goddess, beacons to remind the people that though darkness descends, honor lives.

Ma'at's Chosen are not limited to the people of Mulhorand, part due to her own inclination, that Ma'at as a guiding principle should be universal, and also due to her lengthy Journeys across Faerun inside the Lockbox that was her other awareness.

Power Descriptions:

Eye of Ma'at: The eye of Ma'at allows the user to see evil or chaos within a being as a visual representation of the persons mind and its connection to its soul. Unknown to the players they are in fact unconsciously reading the mind of those they are looking at. Those immune to mind-effecting spells or have concealed alignments appear to possess no definable Aura. The Eye of Ma'at may only be used for short periods due to the increasing amount of drain in causes on the users mental capacity. Should it be used for over five minutes the spell shuts down the ability of the character to use their eyes for 1d4 days less permanant retinal damage occurs.

This is in effect a pnp ability and may only be used with the consent of players or under the supervision of DM's.

Bond of Leadership:

This ability is limited to Jud'vardas and Mahir who share a single shard of Ma'ats essence. As stated in events if Mahir or Jud fall then the other dies also. I leave it up to the player to decide if they die outside of events because such micromanagement may prove difficult.

The bond also means that they share a limited unconcious empathic connection which means if the ire of one is raised then it is reflected in part by the other. The Bond does not effect other similar bonds but it will override those bonds should Ma'at deem it nescessary.
