Mulhorand and Unther:

The tidal surge unleashed by the tropical islands explosion destroyed much of Mulhorand's coastline and penetrated deep into the countries breadbasket of the Great Vale. A state of Famine now exists in Mulhorand and all its forces have been recalled to the cities. It is rumored as many as a three hundred thousand and no less than one hundred thousand slaves have perished due to starvation.

From the south under the banners of the Adama, Durpari calling themselves the Companions of the Golden Way have driven the Mulhorandi empire out what remained of Unther, halted only by the valiant efforts and sacrifice of the Claws of the Sun and the Ankh at the River of Swords. Even now the Companions can be seen building great rafts of pine and cedar to cross the River into Mulhorand, many thousands of Mulhorandi and Untheric slaves have flocked to the banners of the Golden Way.

Chessenta:

With the Cataclysm evoked by the tidal surge, the city of Luthcheq has opened its gates for war and a host of thousands, half-orcs all, has claimed nearly a Quater of that country, subjugating nearby city states by force of arms alone. The loose affiliation of independent city states quivers of the edge of what could be a bloody civil war.

Thay and Algarond:

Though the Alaor was destroyed annihilating much of Thay's naval power, the Mainland was spared due to its weather control devices. The same could not be said of neighbouring Algorand, and Thays armies have fallen savagely upon the peoples of the Yuirwood. A host of undead, thralls, demons, slave soldiers and red wizards cuts a burned and bloody swath through the Yuirwood, resistance melting in their path. The Simbul has taken flight to Cormyr to enlist the aid of Cormyrs gallantry in defending what remains of her first drowned and now burnt country. Cormyr mobilises for war, knowing that should Algarond fall then the host of Thay would march west into the heartlands.

Khem:

Khem, spared of the water, is a land besieged by the calamities surrounding her. Though the Mulhorandi remain in control of much of the islands population centers, and the Troika still hold Nes'ek, word reaches the towns in trickles of a vast host on the move in the deep desert.

*The rumors about a vast host on the move reaches the Cathedral and the ears of Templar Mikal. Immediately he approaches those merchants coming especially from Khem for more information.*

Word of Chessenta reach's a Chessentan woman who often stays in Khem, her only responce. "Chessenta fighting itself? Nothing new"

Though in spite of that she says a brief prayer to Tchazzar of "First King protect and unite your people.."

Aoth, the scivener of Djedet rubs his chin thoughtfully with his eyes closed looking downcast deep in concentration as he sits in his section of the complex. He sends a personal letter to Gelcaneth to his family and many more to other cities throughout the east.

Despite given events, he would appear to be rather calm and collected when news of Mulhorand, and surrounding lands are reported to be brought to ruin.

"So it has begun.."
