Inquisitor Garrett and Templar Mikal would set up a post that would also serve as a temporary infirmary for the wounded or sick, Garrett would request anyone with further experience in healing to volunteer to treat others

Once the infirmary is raised, Triadic squire Vest would drop by and offer his help whenever he has no current orders from Triadic leaders.

Ania would be seen moving wood and planks in a iron construct form with Squire Martin and Knight Trail from the shipwreck a few hundred yards away from the encampment. After she gathered enough wood for both fortifications (and the wreck reduced to a third of it's original size) she would speak briefly with her fellow brothers and sisters in the Order of the Flaming Blade. After that, she would retire along with Hall to his tent, catching a well-deserved breather from the onslaught they had encountered not so long ago.

Day 1

Zahra stayed in the back for most of the fight, healing and raising those she found. The Sekhry's words before the voyage had stirred her, and she tried to fight valiantly, but knew that was not her area of expertise.

The Abasi Shaman of the Silverscale tribe then took her and two others aside and together they created a portal back to the Djedet graveyard.

The energy used for the battle, journey, portal making and even giving birth just days before leaves Zahra Ramathant physically exhausted and mentally and emotionally drained.

After battle was over, Malatril is seen conversing with Sekhry, and then organizing building of the makeshift fortifications around the newly constructed portal. After they decide on the shape of the fortifications (simple square using stone building as north east corner), Malatril orders Ania, Trail and Martin to gather wood planks or logs they can scavenge from broken ships and barricades to be used as pillars for the walls.
As they work on that, other available War Knights and Triadic Knights start digging up six feet deep and wide trenches, keeping sand aside for wall construction. Malatril can be seen talking with Reddok about ways to set up pillars from scavenged woods so the walls can hold.

A tired and battered Salema dug in after the forming of the gate. She was clearly disturbed after her death and subsequent raising, her attention distracted and sadness is her expressive, brown eyes. After a while, though, she grew closer to her normal self, thanks in no small part to Zahra's sadness. It seemed to anchor her, to pull her from her own harrowing experience in the battle, and her despair at wishing her beloved was with her, for she had not been without Emilly in battle for a long time. She didn't once think ill of Emilly, though, her thoughts of her were only of love. Instead she focused on Zahra, helping to comfort the woman with the aid of the dwarf Reddok.

Once the moment of grief had passed, Salema found herself reflecting upon the sand beneath her feet. Or, more pointedly, of home. It had been several years since she last had set foot to the sands of her home. Indeed, Khem was the closest she had ever come, and almost had refused to go that far, for she had used her travels to take her far over Faerun to the west and in the lands along the coast and surrounding. So it was that she was faced with a rush of longing ... and the pangs of unrelenting anguish at memories long past. Memories that had helped to shape her into the woman she is now.

After the battle Shae takes a little rest and feeds herself well. After talking with Warlord Malatril, she's been suggested to use Umber Hulk form to help out forming up trench. Shae needs some practice in using that form and she spends quite several minutes doing that further away from the camp and the actual upcoming trench area. But soon she's been seen working hard several hours digging deep, the sand moving to sides effectively by using massive Hulk's limbs.

After the battle 'Tari watches as others are cared for, unable to understand much of what is said. She summons Zoraida to her side to help interpret, but the mischievous fey gets distracted with the portal formation. Some time later, after a short conversation with Salema, they both, along with Zoraida, notice Zahra's state and offer her comfort, though the fey's humor does not quite sit well. Soon the incorrigible creature is silent with the three women talk quietly. As thoughts turn towards homes, both in Mulhorand and Djedet or elsewhere, 'Tari's thoughts turn towards her husband.

Following the battle, Zelly spends her time moving about the camp, listening and speaking to the people she knows. She remains somewhat detached from the group, though, and when she isn't wearing her cloak the mark of the green feather of Ma'at is clearly seen on her scaled chest, over her heart.

She does take the portal back to Djedet, but she is never gone for very long. She spends most of her time in the camp with her dwarven "bodyguard", who appears to be teaching her how to fight with a heavy pick. She's not very good at it, at all, but she's diligent in trying to pick up the entirely new fighting style. The presence of her tail makes the process go slower, as she doesn't seem used to balancing with it yet.

She also gives the Triadic Knights, namely Yaston, a portion of her attention. She speaks quietly with him frequently and seems to consider herself at quite the same level as him, although she does offer him proper respect, of course.

When she's not with Reddok, the Triadic Knights, or mingling with others she knows about the camp, Zelly can be seen lingering near the Silver Scale representatives, the Warmaster and the shaman. She doesn't speak much to them, but it's clear that she's trying to understand them by watching them. Her attempts to make an impression on them don't seem to be going well, though, if the slap she was given on the dock that first night is any indication.

Andrew kept around the camp. When he wasn't checking on people, he was generally working on make desserts and the like for the others in the camp to enjoy. He left through the portal, but returned after a few hours with a small crate will with dice, packs of cards and some flavored tobacco from Djedet. These too he left with his desserts. Time not spent preparing or gathering leisure items was usually spent playing fairly upbeat, but subtle songs on his harmonica. Sleep still eluded him after the others had long since gone to bed. He took a shift on watch in the early hours, though he split his attention between guarding and a book he'd gotten from the library on the native language of his strange bedfellows.

It was a few hours before dawn when he abandoned the concept of reading entirely to focus on his thoughts. Whether sincere or not, Zelly at least kind of accepted his captaincy, not that he had any idea as to what he should do with it. Or why he had it in the first place.

As Ania stirred from her rest, she donned herself in her cloak and light chain making a round around the War Knight section of the "fort". After that was done she would get to work aiding in digging up the six foot trenches and helping to plan out the fortifications for the encampment. A few hours later, she can be seen leaving through the portal dressed in all grey clothing and a staff.. She seems to have been using said staff for support.

She would return hours later looking refreshed and well-fed, eagerly continuing her efforts to aid the encampment.

The Sekhry had led these from Djedet to the ship. Then from the ship to the shores. He led his captains to speak the the Prince-General and fired back with as much boldness as he was given.

While reviewing the battleplans a hushed silence fell over the cataract. Anubis's forces had begun to charge forth. Mahir turned and cried out to his men rallying them, having them prepare before meeting the large host. The battle was long, bloody and gruesome. Many casualties dotted the field, friend and foe alike.

Once the host against them weakened and fell he ordered the allies raised or dragged back as necessary.

He then went about making the camp as it needs to be delegating to many.
[*]To Malatril and his men, were in charge of the erection of a more fortified enclosure. The Druids to Assist them with sand to stone as necessary.
[*]To the men of the Eternal Order of Kelemvor he put them in charge of the infirmary.
[*]Those of divine ability were to help with the making of the crossroads with the Silverscale Seer.
[*]Andrew the Dawnsinger was in charge of camp moral.

With the delegations made the Anhurran once more went to the Prince General, meeting with his lieutenants discerning what he could about the battlefield and making sure the enemy's bodies were put to the torch.

*After the battle the Grandmaster of the Triadic Knights does not seem to participate much in the construction works, rather leaving his knights doing that. However, being a skilled engineer, he occasionally warns the war knights and the Triadic Knights in case if there is any flaw in the construction works. Most of the times he seems to be participating to the Mulan fortifications and watching for the possible approach of the enemy.*

The following day would see Salema rising early and making the rounds with the others. She would stay close to the camp, not leaving for Djedet at all even by portal. The young priestess seems much better after the night before, humming softly and smiling. It would appear she was doing what she could to keep people in good spirits.

When not spending time with others, she was off by herself by the waters, looking out over them or humming to herself as she toys with the shifting sands. She would take care, however, to be there for Tari to help with her translating.

Whenever she was humming, though, the other Mulhorandi would recognize the tunes of songs from their home lands.

Reddok was tasked to join in with Malatril and the War Knight's efforts with fortifications. Taking advantage of some of the knight's abilities they took golem and umberhulk forms as he supported their efforts with Mal. Digging and moving sand, scavenging wood and driving the supports deep enough into the sand. Reddok worked with a few sailors cannibalizing rope from the sails as the knight's did the heavy lifting and the sand moving. They worked until hunger and a need for some sleep before the next day arrived.

Early, before Zelly stirred, Reddok slipped from the tent and made his way for the portal within the trio of stones and onward to Barak Runedar to see to citadel business. After official business was discussed he reported on the situation that had transpired on the field, fortifications and the like. As he prepared to leave once again he was touched by the outpouring of support by his kin and well wishes for his, Zelly's, and their forces safe keeping. Runa handed Reddok scrolls by the handfuls, Whurak handed him a fine pack, Dain nothing to give but his lucky foppish plumed hat and demanded that Reddok take said lucky hat to display it on his banner to instill fear into our enemies.

Once Zelly had caught up with him they saw a good numerous amount of folk in Kohlingen, handling affairs before eventually returning back to the encampment. Once there Reddok got back to work helping to build walls, advising to fill them with sand for a couple feet for weight along with the agreed upon width should prove enough stability. When he's rotated off duty he makes sure to take time to continue on with Zelly's melee training keeping a protective eye on her most the times he's able.

Following one last brief trip through the portal (gone for less than an hour) on that following day, Zelly returns to camp and heads to the back of the group of tents, where she and Reddok had been staying. She is again wearing her full combat gear, with a heavy pick in one hand and a shield in the other. When she's not sparring with the air or with Reddok, she can be heard querying the others about boots and gloves suited to a warrior and whether or not they have anything spare that she might borrow for the duration of their war.

On the third day Salema rose again, her senses alert with the sounds of sand swishing around her tent. Oh, how good it felt to be home again. Regardless of the reason, regardless that it was not Skuld, it brought joy to her heart. Being off the boat that first night was enough, but this last night she was fully able to relish in the almost sinful delight of her bed of cushions. She had brought them instead to sleep on, and she was very glad she had.

The lack of battle in over a day had served her well. Truly, that initial conflict had jarred her soul to her core. It had been so very long since she had been in a battle. But she had pulled through with the help of her sisters of kinship. The beautiful young woman was nearly all smiles again, happily going about her day in her typical morale-inspiring fashion.

Her more somber moments were spent writing in her journal, typically at night before she praised Sharess, or when she was reflecting on the warm waters of the Alamber Sea or the hot sands of home.

Malatril can be constantly seen at the camp site, assisting with construction of fortifications. He is often either using polymorph wand to shift in umber hulk form to dig necessary trenches, or using shapechange scroll to turn into iron golem and assist with gathering large wooden beams from remains of a nearby ship and assisting with hammering them deep into the ground at locations designated by Reddok, for support pillars for the walls. Rest of the time he helps with connecting already secured beams with rope salvaged from ship rigging, making it base "skeleton" for supporting packed sand that will form majority of the wall.
In his resting moments, he's either talking with remaining Knights about future tactics, or in silent conversations with Eradiel.

Sir Justin Fairfax and the Knights of Kohlingen continued their work digging sand trenches and sand walls after the battle. Anchoring the initial defences on the stone temple.

There would be needs for lumber and stone among other raw materials to provide for an effective defence along with defenders and engines of war to secure the tenuous position along the shoreline.

The waves of demons and mob tactics of the defenders had beaten back the waves of demons. His own armor had taken a terrific pounding in the battle. He had lost conciousness twice during the battle as had many others yet Catechism had remained strong in his hand.

All of the knights and squires they had brought to the battle had lived through it. Yet the war was not yet won.

"Lords of the Triad I thank you for your victory and pray for you go before us to scatter your enemies."

When the basic keep is expanded Mahir sends malatril and the war knights to build basic equipment so that they fall back behind along the cataract.

He checks on viktor and the eternal orders progress with the infirmary and checks to see if its amply provisioned.

Snow and any others gifted will with the bow are set up along high points with a good view of the bank. They are excusedr from their former duties and are bow tasked with picking off the crocodiles with their powerful arrows

Any meat taken is blessed by the priests if able and deemed pure it is given to the generals men and some of the wetlanders first.

He once more meets with the general to discuss battle plans specifically what his orders are to be passed along his men.

If no latrine is present one is constructed at the furthest downstream possible. One with several doors. Mahir has taken the odd trip when things are slow of sitting in there an extra thirty minures or more... You learn Much about the camp and men's real.feelings listening to them talk.

For every meal he eats the same basic mess that the others do. If he is not asked to meal with the general or his men he attempts to eat with the common man trying to spread himself out. He asks their plans, goals, wants, needs and rolls dice with them even. Never does he become chummy and always demands respect he would be do.

Since he would have little alone time he constantly prays as he walks from one area to another outloud or in his head.

Garrett would tell Viktor to reassure Mahir that supplies are plentiful and the Order has no shortage of healing resources or staff with the few people that have volunteered to help with the infirm. He would stress however that he like to know exactly how fresh the water is that he uses to clean wounds and hydrate patients, "fresh enough" would not be a satisfactory answer, corners would not be cut and small sacrifices would be frowned upon. If Garrett was informed he may be too demanding when it came to one small detail, he would simply respond with "If any task had to be done correctly, its this one".

Garrett would spend what free time he could recuperating energy and knowledge on medicine and anatomy but some word would spread about if he was getting enough sleep these last few nights with the amount of time he's spend inspecting every cut, scrape, puncture, stitch and bandage. He take his work seriously.

Being that Salema was quite talented in the healing arts, she would help with tending the wounded when she was able. Her gifts with mundane healing were quite extraordinary, and there was something to say about her bedside manner. She would make it clear that she did not have much experience with invasive medical procedures, however. The young Sharessin did seem to possess some additional healing supplies, however, which would be a boon, especially a limited stock of anesthetic paste. If she was asked about the water, or overheard, she would offer to not only use her gifts to create purified water but to also boil any natural water to remove impurities as best she can.

'Tari would help Salema as best she could keeping a fair distance from the Kelemvorites and speaking quietly to her, but only ever in Mulhorandi, as she also lends her considerable talents at mundane healing, deftly changing bandages and applying salves and other medicants.

Victor would inform Mahir of the plentiful supplies, and leave a word that should they require any tactical advice, he is welcome to seek out the Orders expertise, or in any other matters, their wisdom.

Talyne seems to spend most of her time hovering nervously near Andrew, helping him with his tasks around the camp. Occasionally she'll grow restless, taking the form of a sturdy raven and flying far afield, scouting in a new direction for many miles each day, her keen eyes searching for anything trying to flank the camp or anything unusual happening in the lands of Mulhorand. The normally timid druid seems to have adopted a personal vendetta against the crocodiles taking their livestock, wading fearlessly into the water to dissuade them with Charm Animal spells and her natural creature empathy. If neither yields results, she grows frustrated and shifts into a massive dire bear with a hearty growl, subduing the particularly stubborn reptiles with a bloody show of claw and fang. Her victims are dragged back to the camp, where crocodile steaks are added to the food stores and the hides turned over to be made into leather. She seems immensely comfortable working in the river, not in the slightest bit afraid to get dirty and bloody wrestling the natural predators.

Andrew occasionally leaves, but returns. On one such trip, he returns with a banjo which he allegedly got out of Wharftown. He's not too good with it yet, but he nonetheless practices a few hours a night to help with morale. He mostly stick to simple, somewhat lazy sounding things, keeping the more upbeat and staccato songs for his harmonica. When not playing or preparing desserts, he tries to encourage the others in the camp (but mostly those who are not Mulhorandi, within the War Knights, the Triadic Knights or the Eternal Order) to helping themselves to the recreational things he brought. A chess board even manages to surface alongside the cards and dice, but Andrew's talent in these games is mediocre at best.

Though he still reads, Andrew's taken to smoking the herbs he bums off of Talyne in the evening. Just one pipe. His sleeping habits are peculiar. He's generally awake until an hour or so before midnight, then awakens five or six hours later, a few hours before dawn's first light - what he claims to be his normal sleeping schedule.

Zahra would be seen spending time healing those that needed it, and wandering the camp followed by her white stag, Bakari and her griffin, Hizubah. She would attempt to be near the Sekhry when she could, and at least once a day she would take the portal to Djedet to see to their newborn son.

::Every so often as Andrew plays, Vindel would sit near him, and pull out his lute. Watching him play and see his methods. Occasionally strumming his strings as well softly. One could hear a soft melody, simple, but a nice sounding rythem::

Garrett would spread his thanks amongst his peers and fellow healers, faith and medicine alike, for the time theyre putting in. He would point-out that the water situation is a little more complicated than merely boiling it or using "gifts", "powers" and "abilities" to purify the water, he lets the infirmary staff know that the soldiers cannot become dependant on our magic, procedures had to be set into place. The water didnt need to be purified, merely clean of diseases but retaining the minerals needed to allow wounded bodies to repair themselves naturally over time. This would mainly be the water used to hydrate the infirm. The cleaning water, although it could be boiled to keep it purified, would irritate the skin upon touch so it needed time to cool.

Anyone using their gifts to purify the water would be told to save their abilities should they be caught off guard. Their sentiment would be appreciated however for the concern of the living, Garrett had a precise way of running things when it came to his work in healing. He would spend more time showing his companions how to properly stitch and bandage wounds without the use of healing magic and inbetween shifts, would begin designs for a filtration system to clean the water of potential disease whilst retaining beneficial nutrients. Anyone keeping track though, would begin to question exactly when Garrett gets any sleep.

Victor, whilst helping Garrett and studying his healing techniques without the use of magic, would seem quite agitated.

Andrew cheerfully welcomes the company when playing. He occasionally watches Vindel, being relatively new to his new instrument. Andrew eventually even plays a simple little thing with his harmonica suspended by a wire in front of his face, on his shoulders, and his banjo with his fingers. He occasionally invites those who stop to watch or listen, and are not occupied with working, to join him.

Salema was certainly glad for Tari's companionship as they went about the protected compound area. She had felt a sort of kinship with the other woman since they met, one that went beyond just being of the same birthland. Often, she would converse with Tari, just idly chatting about whatever came to mind to help keep her friend at ease.

As for the water situation, the Sharessin would accept the information with her almost trademark impish smile twisting her lips gently. Never would she argue, for her tone was conversational, but she would remind Garrett that even after cooling the water was still clean and pure, making it clear she meant to do it before it was needed and as a way to store the boiled water for later use. She would simply remind him, quite pleasantly, that her gifts were for the benefit of them all, though she would readily agree that dependence is something to be avoided.

For the most part, Salema did not seem to follow any set pattern to her daily activities. Some days she did certain things, others not. The only constants would be her praying at dusk; her aiding with the wounded, which it would seem she lacked need for assistance with most mundane tasks; and Tari's presence.

The departure of the Silver Scale shaman and Warmaster leaves Zelly saddened for a few hours. The sound of her name on their tongues makes her somewhat nervous as she imagines many different things they could be saying about her, but she shakes it off and focuses on the camp. She remains at Reddok's side while he's in the camp and mingles with the others when he's not. As before, she stays closest to the Triadic Knights or the group of Mulan known to some as The Feathersworn.

A pick remains tied at her belt at all times, while a shield is often on her arm as if she is trying to grow accustomed to the weight of it. She still spends time practicing the use of her new weapon with Reddok, but she seems to spend even more time of late writing on various papers with a look of concentration.

With the portal having become more stable, Marcus has arrived to contribute. He first reports to the Sekhry to announce his presence, and then takes a walk around the camp to familiarize himself with the area.
The old temple in particular draws his attention, and if permitted he would spend some time learning of its meaning and general Mulhorandi religion with any present Mulhorandi clerics.

[Guards with permission of the Prince General are posted at the to dissuade anyone from entering who does not belong]

Marcus is tasked as the scholarly and bookish person amongst them to serve the role as quartermaster, record keeper. He is to record rations, guard patrols, shifts in the infirmary and the likes to make sure it is fair and even for the peoples. This is contingent upon his acceptance.

Marcus gladly accepts the assignment and sets himself to the administrative tasks, something he seems to have a knack for. His first priority seems to be to take a full inventory of all supplies available around the camp.

Reddok manages to control himself and remain at the cataract encampment without having to return see to business at the citadel but a couple times. His kin can get along without him getting in the way just fine he reminds himself. Instead he keeps busy completing given duties and continuously looking for ways to improve upon the fortifications they have in place. Zelly helps time slip by as he enjoys their sessions training with her ever improving melee form and warpick prowess. This day he and Zelly headed for the portal, heading for Barak Runedar for Midsummer ceremony preparations, they we not to return or a day or two.

Victor, in his spare time from the infirmary, would spend his time patrolling the defences, seemingly observing the landscape, and noticably sticking to shaded paths. It would be clear he was looking for something further away from the defences too, in the enemy territory. If asked, he would explain he had heard reports of Necromancy, and was looking for evidence.

On a rare moment of him not doing anything, it is likely he would be absent, or be reading a small book with the Scales of the Judge on the front, often under a tree, mostly alone.

The soldiers are drilled. Patrols are arranged and sent out as sightseeing scouts. The infirmary is checked over once more.

Those who had come through the portal are each taken aside and spoken to privately. Mahir asking them about their home life and the like.

It is obvious to those who would attempt to notice, that Mahir sleeps rarely if at all. He is seen as a tireless source of energy and power within the encampment. And it seems as if the lack of sleep has not had detrimental effects.

His mornings are spent in prayer to the Eight. Honoring each individually but especially to Anhur. He also spends much time honoring Ma'at in his words and actions in the morning. Before each sun rise.

When the sun rises he performs a ritualistic mix of weapon drilling and martial arts in the sand while wearing loose fitting trousers and weights around his ankles and wrists. A Half-Spear, Shield and khopesh are used. Each is weighted enormously more than normal. The movements involve balancing and small controlled movements followed by frenzied quick and powerful thrusts and spins.

Mahir's days are spent drilling the "wetlanders" in the way of the Mulhorand army. From the way to wind and sandproof a tent to the proper way to properly bank a fire. He trains those willing in the use of a khopesh or short spear and in group formations to fight with the Mulhorand Infantry Regulars.

His afternoons he spends taking his four-hour watch, like any other soldier with no deference to rank.

In the evenings he sits with his captains who are available to review daily procedures, morale, supplies, complaints, plans, and he educates those whom are not used to warfare on this scale on troop movements and different posturing of forces. He teaches them complicated infantry walls and how to feint movements to draw enemies into traps, he teaches them how to place and build a proper latrine, and he listens intently to each, trying to learn from each of them.

At night he retires to the tent he shares with his wife. He often doesnt stay long, on these nights he exits the tent and looks at the night sky. He walks around the camp at night sometimes barking orders at derelict men, others sitting to share a cup of tea, checking the defenses and watching the perimeter.

This ordeal begins each day at least an hour before dawn.

Talyne for her part, rarely changes her routine. She continues to patrol the river for crocodiles, and maps out vast portions of the terrain and battlefield on the sturdy ebony wings of her raven shape, a gentle zephyr conjured behind her to speed her passage. Her observations are dutifully recorded on the war maps of the officers. In camp, she seems to be the opposite of Mahir, a perpetual island of unshakable mellow calm. Despite the difficult conditions of their living arrangement, her health seems to improve dramatically on the home sands of Mulhorand. The wounds of the soldiers are mended with a gentle prayer and a peck on the cheek, and she shows a fresh, if reserved confidence, as though her strength came from the very land itself. Even the warmest nights are spent lounging practically in the flames of a campfire, as she puffs on a small travel waterpipe and talks quietly with Andrew.
