Meriptah can be seen sitting on the steps of the Temple of Lathander pondering with an empty tome in his hands. After many minutes, he slowly rises and heads south from Nes'ek while tucking the tome in his pack. Those that follow would find him making his way through the restless spirits and spiders to the old Temple of the Eight. Once inside, he clears the temple of grave robbers, cursing their names as he goes. He locks himself in the inner sanctum for the entire day before he is seen to leave. Each day, the bronze-armored man makes the trip to the temple with his tome, entering and leaving at the same times as the days before.

Instead of heading off to the temple with a tome in hand, Meriptah can be seen chatting with the Djedet Militia. He sets up a combat dummy and practices with his khopesh. His technique looks to have improved greatly since he began over a year ago.

After his practice, he bathes and dresses in his robes. He then leads prayer to the faithful of the Mulhorandi pantheon among the refugees.

Meriptah spends his day going around the Djedet refugee population and asking information about what the Khalem River Valley was like - what the native animals were, what types of crops were grown, and getting a general idea of the lay of the land there. He also asks the refugees if they know the way to get there.

After his questioning, he sets up a combat dummy to practice with his khopesh some more before heading to the Temple of the Eight with his tome.

The priest of Anubis is found once again preaching to the faithful among the Djedet refugees. He dons his white priest robes and sets up a table where he places bottles of clean water for any to take. Opposite the bottles of water, he offers fresh semolina cakes on a platter, baked to perfection by Rania. Standing happily next to the table (and probably eyeing up the snacks) is the ever-faithful jackal Imtep.

"[Mulhorandi] Hello, my friends, brothers, and sisters. Thank you for joining me today to give thanks to our gods, for they have been good to us. The land has been purified, and is ripe for use. The water is cleansed and safe to drink. With hard work, we will soon not have to import our fruits and vegetables! These are good days coming upon us!

Later today, I will be clearing a path for us all to make a visit to the Temple of the Eight..."

He continues his sermon detailing the small outing for the refugees if they should wish to come and pay homage to the idols within the temple. He packs up the table and any leftover drinks and food after the sermon. Imtep trots alongside Meri as he makes his way to the Nes'ek town square where he stands idly, taking in the view and pondering.

Meriptah enters the Temple of the Morning Lord and speaks with Priestess Si'neela.

"Em hotep, Priestess. I have come to ask the opinion of you and the citizens. Would you mind if the boulders and debris were removed from the town square?"

He also goes around asking the citizens' opinions to make sure they are not considering the debris a sort of monument to their struggles and triumphs.

Many times, as the Mulhorandi priest is out doing his work, a quiet red head might be seen along with him. She doesn't hesitate to pitch in when there is work to be done, and strangely, she always seems to have a supply of semonlina cake with her.

Outside the gates of Nes'ek where the Ank'remun Desert meets Nes'ek, Crow, Ania, HoJo and Osric make their departure. The four head to a small rock and talk to themselves for a short time. HoJo kneels down and places his unarmoured graft-arm on the rock. Crow removes his Sword and cast a few enchantments. With one swift and effective downward strike, the weak, mummified graft falls before Crow's feet. In the meantime Ania holds HoJo down, though there doesn't seem to be a fight from himself. Osric cast Heal Spells on HoJo as the limb falls.

After HoJo recovered from the pain and shock of the limb being removed, he'd enter a state of silence. Speaking to no one, but simply stare at the fallen graft.

Following the rather brutal removal of Hojo's grafted arm, they assume Hojo is in shock, and the hin priest takes the severed arm, without touching it, and disappears into the desert, returning a short time later. Upon his return, the priest and the ranger assist the palemaster onto his feet, and the three of them vanish into an opened greater portal.

// Literally took place right outside the gate, behind the Temple of Lathander, in sight of NPC guards. There might still be some gore on the little rock there, go see!

A drow garbed in gold and blue, accompanied by a very young copper dragon, wanders around Nes'ek for nearly an hour this evening. She looks upon the buildings, the trees, the Cathedral, and the Temple of Lathander. The copper dragon wyrmling at her side jovially banters with anyone he comes close to, hopefully easing any concerns the locals may have about a drow wandering around - even if she doesn't seem quite as bothered by the sun as one might expect and she makes no trouble about not wearing her hood to shield her eyes from the blazing light.

Sui'Aerl spends half that hour sitting on her knees in the center of the square, gazing at the stone beneath her as if seeing something that isn't there. Long-time residents may know that it is the exact spot where the Morning Crystal once rested. Such residents may also find the drow vaguely familiar, if they recall a time when another drow led an army in a war against Zanth'un's Undead, so many years ago.

After her staring, she sends another look toward the temple of Lathander. She murmurs a prayer, her fingers touching a symbol of the Morninglord about her neck, and then she rises and turns away to depart the desert town. But she looks back, and seems to have every intention of returning.

The drow does indeed return, and it seems that she has taken up residence in one of the available homes. Over the past couple days, she and a couple half-elves can be seen carrying things into the building. Well, the male half-elf does most of the lifting while the younger female half-elf watches or teases him. After everything is settled, the half-elves depart together and the drow stands outside, gazing at her new home.

She introduces herself about Nes'ek as Sui'Aerl Rilyn'Virr-Valis, and apparently she is a cheery follower of the Morninglord. The little copper dragon wyrmling is always at her side and greets anyone he encounters with friendly enthusiasm, declaring that his name is The Great Boulderdash. The pair go into the temple of the Morninglord often to speak with Si'neela or to help out around the place.

The strange, sun-loving drow and her dragon companion are here to stay, it seems.

A certain half-elven figure with a green inked tattoo around his left eye starts to make routine rounds in Khem. Notably in Nes'ek, he goes to the temple of Lathander ever morning to help the priestess Si'neela with any duties around the temple. Shortly after prayer, he heads off speaking to different locals of the land and defenders of the town. Offering any sort of medical expertise or help with daily task. From making visits to the sick or just in help passing with a mundane chore. He'd find his way to the temple of Kelemvor before sunset, taking time to offer any help with the daily temple proceeds. Donating what he could in coin or even time if they needed it. The figure would disappear from time to time but always returning after awhile.

The half-elven figure might occasionally see a female drow about Nes'ek, usually alone but occasionally she has a copper dragon wyrmling at her side. She does not seem to do much aside from sit aside under the shade of a tree, or step into the Temple of Lathander to speak to her fellow faithful of the Morninglord. She wears fine silks and carries a magic staff, her carefully-groomed appearance making it clear that she is a sorceress.

A human male, familiar to some as Aoth Nathandem, casually stepped through a portal that spontaneously opened in the middle of Nes'ek with a glimpse of another Mulhorandi city that flashed behind him before the gateway closed shut. Only taking a quick glance at his surroundings he then made his way to Djedet walking with purpose.

Beside the door leading to the Valis Laboratory, the small copper dragon, Boulderdash, is seen pacing and anxious. For hours, he waits, until finally he launches into the air and makes for the Temple of Lathander and the lamp within.
