The Book of Fear

All must be made to fear Bane and His most terrible Wrath.

One who does not fear his master is never truly obedient. Fear is the tool by which any slave’s reasoning mind can be overcome. Once fear takes hold, all rational thoughts of resistance are vanquished; all notions of rebellion are dismissed. The slave is left only with the primal thoughts of his own survival, and the terrible consequences of defiance.

A true leader, whether a king, imperceptor, or corporal, is one who holds his subjects in abject terror of his person. He who is not truly feared will always run the risk of betrayal and rebellion, and has failed in his duty of command, in the eyes of the Black Lord.

The Book of Tyranny

Obedience must be compelled to be truly effective. A willing servant is a useful tool to the Black Lord; an unwilling servant who is broken into servitude is far better. He who has the spirit of rebellion forcefully driven from him is far less likely to see it return.

Free will, independence, rebellion – all are products of the Abyssal mindset and anathema to society and civilization. All must be utterly purged from the mind of any of Bane’s servants for them to be pure. To reach a state of absolute obedience to one’s superior is the pinnacle of virtuous existence.

To obey and to compel obedience are one and the same. All followers of the Black Lord are charged with the sacred duty of compelling others to submit to His most holy Will. In compelling obedience one learns how to obey; in obedience itself, one learns how to compel it in others.

The Book of Hatred

Hatred is the fire that fuels the forge in which fear and tyranny are created.

He whose hatred of his foe burns in his eyes will drive forth Bane’s enemies in terror. Those who stand and resist will be crushed by the malignant strength of the faithful, as the zealous hatred of Bane’s enemies shall grant the might to defeat them.

As the fire of hatred burns within His servants, so is His will served; for those who would resist the dominion of the Black Hand are deserving of no mercy or quarter.

Hatred should not burn uncontrolled, but be kept tempered by discipline. Uncontrolled rage will consume the faithful, and allow chaos to thrive over order.

Dogma of Bane

Serve no one but Bane. Fear him always and make others fear him even more than you do. The Black Hand always strikes down those who stand against it in the end. Defy Bane and die - or in death find loyalty to him, for he shall compel it. Submit to the word of Bane as uttered by his ranking clergy, since true power can only be gained through service to him. Spread the dark fear of Bane. It is the doom of those who do not follow him to let power slip through their hands. Those who cross the Black Hand meet their dooms earlier and more harshly than those who worship other deities.
