Some guidelines for the officials of Barak Runedar to follow in their important work...(....).
I. Never abuse the powers and trust that have been invested in you, or see another kinsman do so.
II. Never attempt to usurp the power or prestige of a kinsman in order to fulfill your personal purposes.
III. Retain face and dignity at all times. Walk proudly as one of Moradin's many fortunate children and accept the rightful admiration of lesser beings, but do not fall prey to flattery or boastfulness.
IV. Never betray your innermost motives and intentions in negotiations with non-kinsmen. A harmony should prevail among kinsmen, but an official ever remains cautious even among his own.
V. Beware the vice of avarice. Moradin's children have been blessed with the rightful love of wealth and beauty, but avoid greed and the temptation of bribes at all costs.
VI. Take pride in conserving the traditions of the Kin. Harbor knowledge, financial experience and the crafts, and never forget that all Moradin's children are born brave in the face of the enemy.
VII. Honoring your elders is a crucial part of keeping up the power structure. Your superiors are so by right of age, skill or achievements, and you are to remember their status and honor their decisions.
VIII. Avoid unnecessary warmongering and the malice that it originates from. Valour is not to be confused with an unjust thirst for blood.
IX. Always follow the guidelines set by the Moradinsamman. Dedicating ones life to them is applaudable for some, but minding their teachings shows the way for us all.
