Archmage Urien,
I would be interested in any number of these lectures, though the first , Ethics in Arcane Spellcasting is one that most intrigues me for the immediate.
My name is Tuomas Valo, and I can be reached via missive care of the Keep of Kohlingen. Please send word when a suitable time might be for me to sit in on your next running of this lecture.

//monday night 8pm est at the Delta academy. if you don't know how to get there, go out the gate from cordor west, take the cart guy to the 'delta.' once at the 'delta' look for the only building you can go in, you wont need to area transition. lecture will be upstairs in the classroom.
A reply is left at Kampo's. "Despite being considered a divine caster, I shall attend one of your open discussions. I would consider myself a reasonable man, and won't ramble on about my beliefs like an old fool. I am open to such discussion as long as the others are open to my ideals as well." A small lion is illustrated beautifully below the text.

Tonight's lecture is over. Thanks to those in attendance. In the future, if you request a lecture, clear your schedule and show up, as I cleared my schedule to put it on.

A red haired wizard stops by all those postings on Cordor and talks to herself:
"Uhhh guess I've missed it... and.. Archmage? Eh... guess all the mages on Amia and their mother's keep giving themselves that title.. well I am one too! Maybe I will be around for the next lecture thing and see how it goes.."

Urien,
I do apologize for missing the class I had requested, however a matter involving helping a friend free a captured sentient being from unjust captivity took longer than anticipated, and as such I was uncontrollably unable to attend.
Uncontrollably, as I am not one to say no to a friend, especially if it involves helping an innocent or standing against injustice. I have both sworn myself to service to Kohlingen, and to the highest ideals of the Celestial Virtues in Oath and deed, and my duty is to work in the best interests of the Greater good.
If simply on the basis of that you wish to judge me as scum still, than such is your choice but I do bid a few questions answered then:
1) By what right do you claim yourself Archmage?
2) Why do you feel yourself an appropriate teacher for the Delta Academy when you have a demonstrable bias against certain schools of magic, based on the titles for your courses?
3) Do you feel it your right to decry others without hearing their side of a situation? It is a common error, even I make it from time to time but before a judgement is made by any Magi especially ones who focus upon logic and reason, do they not have to hear all sides of an arguement?
I am curious to hear the questions to these answers, and in spite of what I take will be a cool reception at best I will endeavour to attend the next lecture ran if my duties permit or otherwise I shall strive to visit the Delta intermittently over the next while until I can speak with you in person.
I cleared my schedule to prepare, do research, and be at the appointed place at the appointed hour we agreed upon. The least you could have done was show up. I realize it's a 'tall order' for you, but still, you are scum, rude scum, 'prestigious' scum, but scum nonetheless, and worse still, you are a 'time waster.'
As for the rest of you, those not counted among the 'has-beens' and 'never–weres' that have chiselled their chagrin and contempt upon my college wall, those of you whom have not dedicated themselves to a single solitary school of magic simply to reap the benefits of flies placing maggots in their skin and an undead 'friend' of cold and callous character, I say thusly; my next lecture will focus upon one of the schools I have a "demonstrable bias against."
I do have a bias against some schools. Attend some of the lectures I offer and perhaps you will learn why. I look forward to seeing any of you at the appointed time (Next Monday, 8 PM) and at the appointed place (Delta Academy) for a rousing lecture.

The red haired wizard stops to read adjusting her glasses and again talks to herself:
"Hmm.. research.. yes.. gotta finish my Poking Hand spell... and then create an entire new School of Magic dedicated to The Art of Poke! Also does not seen those questions got answered.. well the first one is easy.. every mage that sets their foot on the island and get powerfull enough to.. well maybe cast a Hellball becomes automatically an Archmage by default.. or.. something like that... oh and their mothers too.. I think... "
You can't be bias against a school and be an instructor? Arn't you a Palemaster and a "Headmaster" of some instructive order in Tarkul? Did you not abandon pursuit of all schools but Necromancy in order to gain a cadaverous component, and a cold comrade?
Again boy, stop making assumptions. "Knowledge and power, seeker," your doorman says as I recall. I offer 'Knowledge' Monday Nights at 8PM. Consider attending a lecture on one of the schools I am 'bias' against, you're clearly very ignorant.
P.S. If you desire so badly a lecture on "transmutation" I will gladly teach you what I consider the pinnacle of transmatuory magic, something you can do without devoting yourself to the school.
Very well. Next time we meet we shall compare "gate" and "haste" spells and see whom abandoned magical learning in the pursuit of a solitary spell focus.
Again, the next lecture will be on Monday evening ((8 pm est)). The subject will be a 'spell school' of which I am personally not particularly fond. Note again, that these are less lectures and more discussions, participation is welcome and encouraged.
The next lecture will be on Necromany and the manipulation of life-force.
As always, all are welcome to attend. Undead may be used or present given the nature of the lecture. Residents of the Living City may be in attendance.
// it has come to my attention (via pm's and ig tells) that the necromancy lecture is a popular topic but thursday isn't good, and I want as many people to attend as able. please post if you would rather do this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. by Wednesday night I'll know what we're doing.
Proper Methods of Undead Disposal will be the next lecture. Please note this lecture will necessitate the use of actual undead, and is intended for the non-divine, who need to know how to dispose of undead and do not have the blessings of the Gods to do it. As such it may be slightly dangerous.
Next discussion is a new one; Reasons for Undead Consumption.
The topic is academic in nature, no spells will be cast. It is intended as an open discussion for probable reasons wild, uncontrolled undead eat despite no reason to.
